That will be completely dependent upon his team's ability to recognize where he can be used properly, and his own courage to accept that. Personally I think he is one of the best athletes and possibly the best football player I have ever watched. I think eventually the speed of the NFL game will overtake his mechanics at the qb position, but he could probably play any other position he wanted and succeed.
I respect the kid on and off the field his character is that of a leader. I think it would be a shame if some NFL team couldn’t find a way to utilize his athletic abilities. QB or some other position, he will have an impact on the team he plays for. There is a QB that is at the end of his career that, take away his leadership abilities, his athleticism, his toughness, and his drive and he might not have had the career he had. You may have heard of him, Brett Favre. This is not to say that Tebow is the next Favre, but he has that same type of charisma about him. I wish him the best, and am thankful he is finally out of college.
The comparison is leaving out one very important thing. Brett Favre has a top ten all time arm. Tim Tebow can occasionally throw a spiral. He should start learning how to play TE or FB right away.
Oh, maybe I should have been more clear, I wasn't meaning Tebow as a QB, more just the aspect of his athletic toughness being similar to Favre. Although that leads to another question, did Favre have a top 10 arm and mechanics coming out of Southern Miss?
Picture this...the Saints line up in the shotgun. The lone setback next to Brees is fullback Tim Tebow. Brees hands off to Tebow, who heads for the line, and....pulls up for his patented jump pass to Reggie Bush curling out of the slot. Interested?
