The wrong Jefferson is the PROPBLEM. The garbage playcalling is b.c of Jefferson the Bozo. The kid has no clue once so ever. You have to dumb down the calling for him b.c he is too dumb to understand. A huge reason for our 9/4 season is Jefferson and his lack of talent and ability to grow. I am not saying I am a Crowton fan b.c I am not and he needs to go but put the facts where they are.

LSUFan2000 - Are you really calling someone else dumb after that post?

Penn State won because they had more discipline, less penalties and some form of a running game.

We lost because we had less discipline, more penalties, no running game and another dumb call with bad clock management in the last minute of the game.

Jefferson wasn't great or horrible yesterday. He was 13/24 for 202 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. I'll take those numbers any day in those conditions.

To compare, Daryll Clark (the Big 10 Co-MVP of the year) was 18/35 for 216 yards and 1 TD.

So the QBs were basically even. And we know how many drops we had yesterday. Like I said, JJ was bad in the first half, but turned it around in the second. Those conditions are hard to play in and even tougher when you have zero running game.

Jefferson's not a great QB, but he did enough for us in that atmosphere to possibly win the game. Our running game did not do enough for us. Our coaches use of talent (Shepard, Randle, etc.) let us down again along with game management in the 2nd half. That timeout we blew on Ridley's VERY obvious fumble was a BAD challenge by Miles. We lost the timeout for no good reason and it came back to kill us in the end because Penn State was able to run the clock down even more. Or we could have saved the timeout and called it after a dumb call like a screen to the inisde that only gained a few yards with 30+ seconds left in the game.

The bottom line is that our passing game averaged quite a bit more than our running game this year. That's a big problem.
