I was going through old threads and stumbled upon this and all i have to say is he played very well for a rookie LOCKOUT corner in the later half the season cannot wait for next season. The Cards will be for real if they get a quarterback! (Possibly a Matt Flynn! )

Patrick Peterson won Arizona like half of their games. He was too busy breaking records as a punt returner and being a pro bowler to regret not being back at LSU. Unfortunately, he wouldn't have made a difference against Bama. I will be looking forward to see how he develops as an NFL cornerback. He's already getting matched up against the other team's best WRs, so he's being forced into a huge role as a rookie already.

Guys, my question was never about how good he was playing, simply if he possibly regretted not being on a team that was NC bound (at the time, at least).

Clearly, most references I heard to AZ over the year included Peterson's name.

Injuries aside, you can do great for a mediocre team any year, but 14-0, national championship years are what dreams are made of.

You have to consider how good he is playing to take into account whether he regrets not coming back. If he had a bad year, no doubt I bet he wishes he came back. But...he's a pro bowler as rookie and that is something that can take your mind off of what happened at LSU.

Had we actually gone 14-0, I think he would have felt regret because he had to endure some bad years at least offensively. He knew LSU was gonna be a great team (preseason top 4), so I'm sure he weighed all his options and doesn't feel much regret. If anything, I bet he wished he could have done something against Bama but unless he lined up at QB, there was nothing he could do.

i guess since PP7 himself said he wished he was back at LSU earlier in the season means he had some regret.. I think it had more to do with how close he was to his teammates..

Only if we get Julio, Ingram and Dareus back for their senior campaign.
