    And I predict 1 pick 6 against Troy...Any Takers!!

We all know the "kid" is trying- very painfully obvious-

Would like to see a little JJ though- especially if I'm payin'
    $30+ for TV

Lee was rattled, but it seems that Miles didn't make such a bad decision not bringing in Jefferson considering we went to OT and kept the score close all game. It is likely that a true freshman going against one of the best defensive minds on a huge stage with only one pass to his name would have done worse than Lee. Lee was shaken, Jefferson might have made a few plays with his athleticism, but had Jefferson gone in and made a costly mistake it could have put us further behind the 8 ball and could have unnecessarily knocked Jefferson's confidence.

It was a tough call to make and I think a strong case can be made in defense of the call Miles made.

Is it such a bad assumption that it is likely Jefferson would make bad mistakes? I think it is very defendable to not play Jefferson against a Nick Saban defense. If the score would have gotten out of hand because of Lee's mistakes I can see putting in Jefferson, but under the circumstances it would be a very tough call to put Jefferson in this particular game. I'd like to see Jefferson this coming weekend, I think it makes much more sense to play Jefferson against a manageable opponent.

What choice does Miles have? He is in a tough spot and doesn't have an easy decision to make in terms of who to put in at QB. I'd try Jefferson this weekend, but I can understand not putting him in against Bama.

    I wouldn't bet against it.

    Guess who said this:

That would be one of our 5* recruits, Mr. Davenport. Shep said similar things, as have nearly every recruit that has visited us this year. They all recognize the struggle Lee is having at times and accept it, and the fact that we may lose games.

These are kids that actually play the game at a higher level than anyone here ever did, and are betting the rest of their lives/careers on the same "idiot coaches" that are getting bashed in this thread. But what the hell do they know right? Lee does deserve blame for this game, he did not look good at all. IMO, his confidence was shattered before the Tulane game, and the booing fans really helped that a lot.

The whining all year has made this board thoroughly unenjoyable, and the very title of this thread is absurd. Won't watch LSU because of one player? Who are you?? Personally, I hope Lee starts the next three years, and we win championships with him so I can rub it in your face. Maybe we will get lucky and you will never watch again.

But they haven't played well consistently the whole year. Passes keep being dropped, blocks are missed, tackle are broken, sacks aren't happening and coverages get blown.

The sky is not falling. LSU has lost to nobody but top-10 teams and only Florida outplayed us. We posted more yards and more first downs than Georgia or Bama and our defense matched theirs. We are playing well enough to win.

The pick-sixes were the difference in both games. The coaches and Lee have to fix this right now, everybody knows this. But just putting it all on Jefferson right now is foolish. He's not going to step in and become Joe Montana.

Ole Miss and Arkansas are going to have their hands full with the Tigers.

That's why I said I'm going to have some fun with this thread in the future.

At least we can easily identify the "front runners". The bandwagon was getting a little full anyway.
