I will not watch another LSU football game with Lee as a starter

This has already been brought up and I've already responded to this scenario.
This scenario just doesn't hold up for several reasons.

The difference is that Greene was an established starter at Georgia.
Shockley was brought into the game for a change up such as Meyer has done at Florida over the years.
Les Miles did this last year at times with Perriloux.
Edit: Les Miles has done this very thing this year with Hatch and Lee.
The only way Lee became the starter that I know of is because of Hatch's injuries.
Many coaches are doing this these days and are being successful.
It seems to work pretty well these days under your scenario.

The difference is that LSU has no starting qb, we know what we have with JL.
When Nick Saban was here his first few years he started 2 different qb's in Josh Booty and Rohan Davey because we had no starting qb if memory serves me right.
That is a better scenario than yours.
No doubt about it, the backup qb, many times becomes the starter also.
If you want me to name more names I will.
    Tom Brady, MVP NFL.
Tim Tebow, Heisman winner at Florida for starters.
    Terrell Pryor at OSU.

No matter whose fault it is Jarrett Lee as a starter isn't working.
Is he any better than the first game of the year?
Has he learned from his mistakes?
It seems insane to stick with the same old plan and give up a pick 6 a game.
How many points do we want to spot the opposing team?
Its hard enough to win games in the SEC without consistantly turning the ball over.

You guys are assuming an awful lot that in fact JJ will be bad or worse than JL, no way!
All we need is a qb manager to manage the game and not turn over the ball like Terrell Pryor has been able to do at OSU.
We don't have a game manager in Lee, it makes you think of how good Mauck and Flynn were over the years.

Uhmmm. Better throws every game? We're talking about Jarrett Lee, make sure you know what team is being talked about here. Three loss season? We already HAVE three losses. That means we'd have to run the table? Not possible with Lee. He single handedly cost us two games (again, not that it was his fault ALONE, but the statement is still true.) The rest of our team played VERY good last night. In fact, if Colt David had made that field goal, we would have WON. I'm NOT blaming Colt for the loss, just stating that EVEN WITH LEE the Tigers are almost good enough to win. BUT, when a player single handedly gives games away, that is frustrating. Just imagine how Lee must feel about it. CLM has NOT impressed me this season. He is costing the team GAMES and he is rattling what COULD be our future at QB.

If JL throws a pick6 against Ole Miss will we still win? Isn't that the real question? Winning these next three games without some inprovement at quarterback & from our coaches is not gonna be easy at all.. We played about as good as we can play against Alabama & I am afraid that the team is going to get discouraged & not play as well as they did against Alabama the rest of the year without some Positive improvement at quarterback..

All I was saying was I saw JL from his 1st game until last night... continue to improve with hitting recievers... not throwing sure TDs 15 yards up and out of the back of the end zone... not throwing over his recievers by 5 yeards and throwing at the lines feet.
He is improving... for a true freshmen that sucks so bad... he has the yardage of Tebow against SEC oppenants.
His INTs will start to drop going into next season... but the kid has an arm and just needs to learn to read the Ds better and make better choices... but also in his defense... he's had defensive rushes in his face all season long. Isn't like he's had nice roomy pockets to throw from like some other QBs have.
I'd like to see what JJ can do as well... and maybe it's time we start using the 2 QB system with JL and JJ... but I still think JL is something special and will get better as time goes on.

I agree with what you said, but any true fan will watch the Tigers no matter what.

    Good post.

One thing to consider is this: the WHOLE team (offensive line, WRs, RBs, DBs, LBs, DEs, etc) played well, except for Lee. That's the best we will look all season and with Lee as our QB, he'll keep giving the game away, unless out talent can overcome the Troys, Tulanes, MSUs, etc. Yesterday against Bama, LSU played their best game, and it won't get any better with Lee at QB. Ole Miss and Arky could very well beat us.
