Yeah, take an "apology" from a fellow immature LSU "fan." That means a lot. But I guess you got to get what you can get, right?
Unfortunately firing Miles is not an option - $18.5 M buyout. He seems to be putting a good recruiting class together, although the way the season is playing out some of that may be in jeopardy. Best route is to can his OC and let the new one hire his own staff. Use the U. TX plan. Mack Brown is no Xs and Os guy, but he is an excellent recruiter. He depends upon his coordinators. When they disappoint, he gets new ones. When Miles' buyout becomes manageable, get a new guy.
Ya, ND has been "trying to get a new guy" since the early 90's. Can say the same thing about numerous programs. But hey, thanks for the advise. Don't call us, we'll call you!
You might try looking up the number of Gary Patterson at TCU. He does it there with one and two star guys. And with class. There's no AR kansas, F***ing Alabama, Pac Ten sucks, OU bashing empty trash talk. Just a quiet, thoughtful, efficient winning coach. Think what he could do with Top 5 talent every year.
Ya, I like TCU's Patterson. Just like I liked the guy Okie State had named Les Miles (Les did better at Okie State than Jimmy Johnson did, by far). And? It's not like we can magically just hire somebody and *poof* we are National Champions every year. Look at Bama, look at how long they have been trying to find a great coach. Look at Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Tennessee, Auburn, etc. It's not magic *poof* we get new great coach if we fire the coach we have. Doesn't work like that, obviously.
And what? You should have known what Miles was if you watched OSU. Popped off at Stoops and got blistered about 50-0. A meathead mentality who thinks football at that level is all about school yard bravado. What happens next? Comes to LSU, inherits a purple and gold machine. Feels his oats and begins to pop off about F***ing Ala., AR kansas, and the Pac 10. Begins getting drilled. People have noticed his demeanor has changed this year. He's being exposed and he knows it. Now he's throwing his QB under the bus over his own call for clocking. Pathetic.
tucker you need to appolize to the real LSU fans. Miles owes noone an apology for anything that has happen. People make mistakes noone is perfect. You trator LSU fans are really making LSU look bad and starting to act like Bama fans. Just jump the wagon b.c we real LSU fans dont want ya.
tucker there is aboustly no reason to fire Miles. Lets think a second in 5 years he is the 2nd most winning coach in LSU history yes in history. Who is first Charley Mac. umm not Saban nope. He has won 11 game season 4 out of the 5 seasons. Saban nope he didnt. He has won 2 West titles 1 SEC title and NC. He has beaten every single SEC team at least 1 including owning Tennessee Bama and Florida. He has won every single bowl game by a large majority. [4 stright years of a top 5 team and a top 5 class every season. Dude your going to lose games it happens that does not mean we need to fire the HC. You spoiled brat trasy ignorant LSU fans need to grow up and stop acting like Bama fans b.c your making LSU look bad. quote=tuckerman;1017145]Unfortunately firing Miles is not an option - $18.5 M buyout.
