I think you've got to put a lot of this on Stud

Quick review of our 1st half possessions:

3 and out. We had 3rd and 2, and were prepared to give the ball to Hilliard, but JJ fumbled the snap. Poor execution.

3 and out. Jumped offside on 1st down, then attempted 3 consecutive runs after 1st and 15. Poor discipline, poor play calling.

Punt after picking up one first down. On 3rd and 4, a pass to Blue in the flats lost 3 yards. Good Bama preparation.

3 and out. Another false start on 1st down. On 3rd and 7, a pass in the flats fell incomplete. Poor discipline, poor play calling.

3 and out. On 3rd and 5, Jefferson fumbled a shotgun snap; the movement of our players at the snap seemed to indicate the play call was an option. Poor execution, poor play calling.

Obviously, it was no better, if not worse, in the 2nd half. I'm taking nothing away from Bama here, but we were our own worst enemy on offense.

The playcalling was horrible, as was JJ's play, but make no mistake, the OL played terribly as well. They were man-handled for the entire game and also managed some drive stalling-killing false starts, along with 2 bad snaps by Lonergan.

And it would be disingenuous to call our OL play this year as bad. It's been pretty darned dominant (save last night and the first half of the UGA game.)

And speaking of the UGA game, how in heaven's name was that not a wake-up call for our staff? If UGA could stall our offense, what did we THINK Saban's defense could do after studying that dreck?

How could JL have been a WORSE option at QB last night, though?

In the very beginning of the 4th down 15-0, facing 3rd and 3, we hand the ball to Copeland. How many carries has he had all year? And we had it to him in basically the most critical situation of our entire season. I felt with that play call that the coaching staff, and the players, had basically given up. This team quit last night. I was embarrassed(sp?) to be a Tiger fan.

I'm gonna go with 0 carries for a thousand points, Alex.

And then JJ proceeded to chew out Lonergan as if the exchange doesn't involved two people. Great leadership. Refs also missed an obvious horse-collar tackle that should have resulted in a first down. Later in the game JJ yells at Spencer Ware. Nothing is ever JJ's fault. Goodbye, Mr. Jefferson.

I thought the same thing, but the replay showed the defender did not get a hold of his shoulder pad and hang on. It was the right call.

But they did miss a much more crucial call. In the fourth when it was 15-0 and we had our deepest penetration of the game. We called a screen to Ware that fell incomplete, and the replay clearly showed he couldn't get to the ball because he was held.

No excuses. Bama deserved to win.

Whether or not Stud made all the calls its still all on Miles. He is the HC he could have put his foot down. I think its all on Miles, it had the same look of the play calling the previous few years. Uber conservative, unimaginative, and predictable. Not to mentiont the team lacked focus.

I was one of the people screaming for Les Miles head early on, I thought with his coaching recently he had put behind those bonehead decisions. I guess not, just when he gains the nation's confidence and respect he blows it. No way no how can I ever be convinced the right decision was made to keep Lee or Mett off the field. When things don't work make an adjustment.

    Some in act surprised

You have seen JJ for 4 years , he is after all JJ . he gave us the JJ we have seen before . If JJ had of been our starter all season , then LSU would have lost 3 maybe 4 games . The O line played the same game they played in the regular season . They got busted in that game . The hat was empty , that was a 1st , against W Ky the safety , that was a mental breakdown , I saw where the advocate said one writer said JJ was at 90% , my wife is a Vol grad , she said is he throwing the game ?? I laughed and said , It does look a bit scripted . The Hat was even empty , Wing's last two punts were not Wing type punts . If JJ was at 90% heck i would hate to see him at 50%
15 minuites after the game my Bama friend came over , I took two guitars out and a pot of coffee , handed him back his 250 reasons why i wanted LSU to win . he had given them to me after the regular season game , so we are even . We laughed about both games , picked a few minuites , As he was leaving
he asked "Sully want to bet on the Baton Rouge game ?"
I said "Hell yes the fix may not be on in that game !! "
he and i both agreed we thought it would be a better game , and that Les did give Saban what Saban wanted .

JJ for QB. JJ was Bama's best defensive weapon

oh btw LSU HAS CHANGED OUR COACHES' EMAIL ADDRESS this worked 5 days ago LSU Football <[email protected]>

The other tiger fan site is closed Locked , I guess a copy cat of Tide Fans . com

No ... you can't put it on Stud ... Stud had nothing to work with.

What was he going to do .. call a TE short out??? .. JJ can't make that pass. A short curl?? ... JJ can't make that pass.

This loss was squarely on CLM's shoulders, because he put all his faith in a QB that was of so limited ability. The result is a limited play book. Even the prized "option" ... looked like CRAP last night. Poor RB's were like .. WTF?? ... why you pitcing it to me??
