floridas defense is almost as good as ours. if not equal. and brantley started getting it together yesterday.

we better have some semblance of an offense before heading to the swamp or it will get ugly.

Kick returns 47 for 900 yards, for 19.1

23-25 yards per return would be referred to as a solid return game

Obviously 19.1 is very disappointing with Holliday back there

Two games ago, I would have passed this comment by.

Today, it makes me go hmmmmm....

I think it's water under the bridge, but for trip to Atlanta with team, I'd love to see just about anything tried...

But how was he "underutilized" in special teams? And again, special teams isn't just the return game. It's all you look at though. Special teams was incredible last season. Look at the return yards the OPPOSITION had against our special teams.

you want to talk ignorance? no one said special teams was just the return game. hence why the other facets were discussed. holliday was under-utilized in my opinion. his number of touches was my reasoning. its my thread so i can ramble on about what i want. the same way everyone but les miles wonders why shepard only gets 2 touches after wasting his freshman season. we had good special teams last year, not the best in the country. this year i think we do.

    but hey, lets argue semantics.

and its ridiculous, eyenstein. But its not my fault your feelings get hurt when someone doesnt think les is doing whats best for this team. namely the offense.

its much easier to blame JJ, GC, jlee, jimbo and whoever else on the list. lets just pretend we are hiding the playbook til we get to the meat of our schedule.

or maybe we can blame gonzales next. its got to be someone's fault besides les. that much we know.

Calm down. You know I know it's ridiculous...not rediculous. Have you lost all forum sense of humor? We've played that joke for years. Kinda like making Miles the escape goat.

I've NEVER said we're hiding the playbook by the way.

I DON'T think Les is doing what's best for the team right now on offense. I actually agree that Shep would be the better option at QB.

I'm gonna assume you mean TH was underutilized in the OFFENSE, and I agree with that too. Excuse me for somehow thinking you were talking about special teams. All I said was our special teams was the best last year too. There's nothing different on special teams except a better punt returner. TH couldn't field punts, and CJ didn't have the vision, burst, or top end of PP.

Plus it looks like Urban has gone to a two-QB system. Burton was under center too and broke your boy's single game TD record with 6, lol.

Let's see, Florida's offense struggles to start the year then Urban makes a change and their offense explodes. Yes it was against Kentucky, but Urban was smart enough to try something new before the tough part of their schedule begins.

I wish we could say the same here.

The more I think about this gameplan, the more it seems you may be right. I hate the "wild (insert mascot name here)" formation, but it would be hard to shut down some of these guys on a constant basis. Better than what we're putting out now, anyway.

Exactly. It's still early enough and against the D of Tenn to start a new QB. Throwing JL to the wolves mid stride is gonna hurt something fierce.

Another thing... Bama's secondary is their weak point right now. That's how you beat them. I personally can't honestly say that with our extinct passing game that we can beat them that way.

The only way we can is if THEIR coaches get stupid like yesterday and decide to try to be a passing team. They shouldn't have thrown the ball more than 15 times yesterday. Ingram right, Ingram left, Richardson where ever. That's what they SHOULD'VE done. It wouldn't have been a game...they would've destroyed Arky. If they do that against our defense, we'll likely score on D.
