Hopefully Lee looks at his BAMA performance as an experience he can learn and improve from, and becomes smarter. Having gone over much adversity here, that would serve as a test of his mental toughness in overcoming his fear of INT's. IF he deserves to be the starter and leader, he would bounce back strong and stay on course. I think he will.
Clearly, Lee. Almost impossible for him to play worse. He would be in a rocking LSU supported Dome. If he hits a long one early, look out Bama! Then we wear them out with the run. I must be the only person that sees that if we threw the ball terrible, and beat them at home, we have a huge edge in the dome.
He has only trailed in 2! One being Oregon, and 2 turnovers and quick scores bailed him out, the other being last saturday in T-Town. He has had it about as easy as ANY QB in the country could ask for. Great Defense, Great Rushing Game, Great O-Line, Great ST = never having to come from behind, never having to sustain 80 and 90 yard drives, or answer in 2 minute drills. When we needed one of the two step up in the most critical part of our season, JJ looked more poised and answered the bell. I have always been a JJ guy, that will never take away from my support for Lee as long as he is taking snaps, but saturday showed me that when the chips were down, Lee was not going to get us out of that situation. I am glad we have both, but really glad we got JJ back.
Ain't neither one of them worth a flip, IMO. Lee crumbled against Bama. Can't really put my finger on just why, but none the less, he was pretty impotent. JJ didn't light up the world either. He did come in and move the ball down the field once, for 3 points. .. better than nothing, but not much to write home about. With two weeks to prepare, I would have thought that CLM and Stud/Krags would have come up with a better game plan to attack the Bama defense, but alas .. they didn't. They stayed completely with what we've been doing, Ware up the middle, Lee on long passes, and JJ on the option. I think CLM wanted to prove that he could beat Bama at their own game. That wasn't a wise move IMO. Sure, we won, but we could have just as easily lost. I just hope the two of them together can continue to put up enough points to outrun our opponents against our Defense. Stanford and Okie State, and even Arky for that matter are way above the average offense we've faced this year, including Bama. If we plan to keep winning, we're going to have to able to put up some points ... as we are not going to hold those three offenses to 6 points.
We are averaging 40 points a game, it was one game against the 2nd best defense in the nation in their house for all the marbles. And I dont think you are giving our defense enough credit saying we cant hold those teams to low offense, you dont know that. JJ made more plays than just one drive. I think you need to appreciate Bama's defense a little bit more, and then go back and re-watch the game
Some people always look for the bad. Me, I'm just enjoying this season. I've been watching LSU football for over 40 years. This is the best its ever been. CLM has proven he knows what he's doing and is more than earning his keep. Sit back, relax, enjoy the ride!
I concur, this has been the 1st season in a while, when I say we are gonna beat dat ass saturday, I dont have doubts in the back of my mind  :geaux:
