I think CLM is feeling the pressure on Harris.

Harris absolutely has to the be the starter. He gives LSU the best chance of winning. I can understand the issue of perhaps handling Jennings with kid gloves, so to speak. Every team needs a capable backup QB. If Harris were to go down with an injury, I don't even want to think about it...

And THAT is what his role should be, from here on.

True competitors, which I believe Jennings is, will work harder to try to regain what they lost. I agree that Les can't coddle Jennings -- time for him to "man up" and wait for his next chance.

jennings looked relieved not to be in the game anymore. how could he not with the early and often boos from the fans, the complete meltdown of a performance, this kid was in a pressure cooker and needed to be bailed out sooner.

les looked subdued and somewhat befuddled in the interview. its likely he felt terrible for the kid and clearly, as always, was protecting him. which i respect. but its also him trying to choke down a big piece of humble pie as his choice was dead wrong and everyone but him could see that last week. its time to be the proactive coach, les. this isnt 1963.

Exactly, but he's SO stubborn and wants SO bad to prove he's right, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Jennings gets the start next week.

I don't think he made a bad choice six weeks ago by choosing Jennings. But, now is the time to let the cub play. He is clearly a gamer.

Les was subdued and probably felt bad for Jennings because before we ever had Harris he was the heir apparent to Mett so maybe that is why it was hard for him to let go ,but he could not help but smile when asked about Harris he knows that playing this kid is whats best for LSU. Some guys have the talent but lack the intangibles , harris seems to be the complete package that just needs experience.

if you cant see it was a bad choice then what will it take. maybe he thought it was the best choice based on limited information but make no mistake, it was not the right choice. we'd have given state a game at least, if harris had started and we wouldnt be speculating if hes even going to start this week.
