I support 'em...as long as they're winning. Like my HS baseball coach said, "If you think winning IS NOT everything, start losing and see how many people come out to watch/support you."
There is much in your point I agree with. Criticisim is one path to improvement. Pointing out flaws and asking for correction is the process we should all experiance if we want to do a better job. I don't feel most who are dissapointed and point out flaws are anything but zealous and loyal Tiger fans. There seems to be a vocal element that transends criticisim and have either an agenda or succumb to the "sky is falling" doctrine. To see every issue as either a devious act by coaches or admins or players or a portent of doom and to continually prophisize doom gets old. As some have, posting only negative points and ignoring the success we have enjoyed is short sighted. I am dissapointed when we lose or don't perform as are any "sunshine pumper" is. No one thinks all is perfect but those who see doom around the corner. For the sky is falling crowd you have every right to express your selves just don't expect to have your opinion always agreed with. There are some in both camps .... the 'All is well" vs "doom is here". Both need to lighten up a little and realize that while this has been the best decade in LSU football history we aren't perfect..
We have real problems that need to be addressed. But I will still watch, I will still be in the stands, and I will not give up hope. I lived through the lean years, I will survive the problems the team is having now.
Maybe I did not state that well. Winning is never a problem. But our offense seems to have a problem getting it together. However, I will still take it over the Hallman years. We (I) can support the team knowing there is room for improvement.
