Even with as much shit as I personally have been talking the last 2 weeks, I still think we pull out the W down in the swamp. Can't even really support the argument, just believe we will do just enough to snag the W. To be honest, a 2 or 3 TD victory wouldn't shock me, I think it will be much closer than that, but we have shown several glimpses of greatness this season, small glimpses, but glimpses none the less, and not the blown assignments by oposing teams glimpses, LSU dominating football glimpses, not many, but enough to know "its there" and if the coaches/players can piece It together and open their friggin eyes, we come home 6-0 with a huge momentum swing to build on My prediction: LSU 31 - UF 20 Geaux Tigers, and you all have a great week!
While we have obvious issues, we'll score enough to win. And as usual our defense will be the x factor.
I would like to think this teams pride is wounded. They know they put on a pisspoor, unacceptable performance last Saturday. I would like to think they are going to go into the swamp with something to prove. To show us and everyone else that this team is strong and talented and not overrated. I would like to think that are defense is going to open a can of whipass on the Gators offense. I know one thing...it is going to be a dogfight. Florida is going to be hungry for this win...I think they feel they are ready to get back into the thick of things in the SEC and beating us will prove that. LSU really needs to make a statement this Saturday. This game is huge in my opinion. I would like to think we win by a TD>
Logically, this makes perfect sense to me. But I also thought that the Auburn performance would have had the same effect. Maybe they just overlooked Townshen. It is up to the LSU Tigers to show us who they really are this Saturday.
I don't think there's any "maybe" to it. They did overlook Towsen. The time to overlook anyone has come to an end. By next Saturday night, we'll know a lot more about the '12 team.
I too think think they overlooked Towson. Heck, I think they overlooked Auburn also. So far this season, there has been no real reason to play with emotion (although emotional play should be a given with any game, but you know what I mean). All this overlooking stops this weekend as our offense finally comes together and shocks the Swamp.
I do know what you mean. The LSU fans are an embarrassment this year, too. Leaving the games really early or not going at all--which is what last Saturday looked like. But who can blame them? It's been a really boring schedule. And the players are playing like it, too. It's hard to get excited about beating up on your kid brother. The only problem is, sometimes your kid brother is ready to punch you in the mouth.
