I still hold my original position on the QB sit.

QB play has been crap but still in all. You have to coach to win the game. You cant expect to win in the SEC with just running up the middle and quick slants, screens, hooks, etc. Another big factor is OL play. The OL is garbage. They cant block worth a $h%!.

I think Miles leans toward a mobile qb based on comments he has made. It is obvious with Lee or Jefferson that we are running an offense made for a mobile qb.

I actually think Jefferson did decent against Arkansas. We hadn't needed great play from the qb position most of the season, but our D wasn't up to stopping Arkansas so an improved Jefferson still wasn't enough.

I agree...we need someone dedicated to developing a QB.

Lee should transfer. He'll never get an opportunity to prosper. He could separate himself from Jefferson during the spring and JJ would still start, play the first two series, and split the remaining series.

If Lee were to make a mistake, Jefferson would stay in the game. If Jefferson were to make a mistake he would remain in the game. If Lee were to drive the team 90 yards to our opponent's 5 yard line...Jefferson would replace him to run the offense.

I appreciate JJ for selecting LSU and giving his best but his best is not very good. He has been given 25-26 starts and has made NO progress. Some people believe he has improved because he completed a few passes but go back and watch the film.

He hit a few WRs who were WIDE open and he still didn't hit them in stride. The WRs were so open due to what?....the fact the other team wasn't afraid of his passing so they stacked the line of scrimmage.

I'm happy with 10-2 but upset that we could be playing South Carolina on Saturday if we had a QB with a brain.

Gary Crowton...thanks, have a nice time in Lafayette.
Lee...thanks, sorry you didn't get a fair chance, have a great season at another school.
Jefferson...thanks, hope you get to hold the clipboard next seson.
Les Miles...thanks, find a good OC and smart QB.

neither of them are legit starting quarterbacks. Jefferson has shown some nice things at times, but he is so inconsistent it's ridiculous. I really hope we get Mettenberger, because I don't know if I can take another season of watching Jordan Jefferson play like crap 90 percent of the time and play lights out 10 percent of the time.

I rarely miss a game and haven't missed a bowl game in years. I have to be honest and say I'm considering selling my tickets next season if Crowton and Jefferson return. I just can't stand watching this crap. Knowing how much talent is wasted makes my stomach turn.

Not only is the offense painful to watch but it's unfair to the defense to be on the field so much. I would love to see how good the defense could be if the offense didn't continue to go 3 & out.

I will continue to support my team but JJ is just too painful too watch. He reminds me of Aaron Brooks.

He is Aaron Brooks that whines when he screws up instead of walking off the field laughing.

This ... [above] ... is exactly what I saw this past season.

In essense, the Coaching Staff Killed the momentum for this offense. Lee was comming on strong, only to be relegated to a part-timer. The offense as a whole was comming on strong when Lee was in, only to have the coaches squash thier momentum by preferring to develop Jefferson over playing Lee and letting him build on the momentum of the TN and FL games.

    1) Lee should have started and played the entire game at McNeese
    2) The coaches should have called plays and ran an offense that maximized Lee's pass and Ridley/Ford's running game.

Don't try to tell me that a running QB is better ... Mallet ain't no running QB, McElroy aint' no running QB. Newton is a running QB, but proved he is a passing QB as well, rushing for under 100 yrds against Bama.

The "Gambler" made the mistake .. he didn't fold'em when he was supposed to .. but instead played a bluff. I just think the Coaching Staff was too timid to try and change the game strategy mid season. They built this pathetic offense around Jefferson, and were at a loss as to what to do when Lee was in. .. hence .. they kept throwing that pathetic WR screen or went long, as opposed to a tight-end across the middle, or good WR routes.

10-2 isn't bad ...... until you consider that LSU could have been 12-0.

We need a quarterback, plain and simple.
