--coach dennis felton "Obviously I've watched it on tape and I saw the kid Farrer throw a punch unprovoked right in his face," said Felton, who showed the video to reporters. "And that's exactly what Sundiata told me. And Sundiata didn't swing back. He rolled back and lunged at him with a forearm." After the game, Gaines pulled down his bottom lip to reveal a gash in the gum line. "There's no way their kid should play the next game," Felton said. "He landed a punch that drew blood." I'm starting to think there's something in the water in Georgia, what a bunch of whiny a$$es. They showed the replay about 15 times on TV and Farrer never hit him intentionally. Gaines obviously thought it was intentional though, because he planted his elbow right in Farrer's face intentionally. Even the broadcasters saw it like the officials did.
In fact, after Gaines threw that elbow, it was good of Ferrar to hold back and not escalate the problem. The two were scrapping for the ball and Gaines got the bad end of the stick and didn't like it.
Farrer dove for the ball... In the process of diving for the ball, he hit the Ga kid. the Ga kid responded by punching Farrer in the grill. LSU got 'em in football, WBB, now MBB. We'll get 'em in baseball and softball. Tell them that it's lonely at the top.
I'll let them know. What's really funny is that they'd be most upset if LSU would beat them in gmynastics.
He won't be quoted as the "men's basketball coach at Georgia" for much longer. They will be LSU's top competition for Grant if LSU chooses to go that rout, which I don't think they will.
