Yesterday I was talking to a guy I know who owns the blog http://dailycollegefootball.com He told me that against Auburn the LSU punter punted for more yards than the offense gained. I didn't think it was that significant. That's what happens every time you keep going three and out but he seemed to think it meant something. I was on TF at the time. He kept telling me I should post that but I didn't think it was worth it. Anyway I told him to put it on his blog and I would post a thread about it today. The next time I see him I'm going to tell him to start using paragraphs in his blog articles. Apparently having a blog about football is enough to get you into the LSU games as a member of the media. Maybe next season I'll start a blog so I can watch from the press box and get free food.
No shit? Well I might have to rethink my stance on TF as social media. After all, hundre . . . scor . . . doze . . . you read my drivel on LSU football.
I think this guy is from Chicago. He lives in Baton Rouge now. Did you look at his blog? I know 1000 times more about football and sports in general than he does. He basically knows nothing about ways to monetize his site other than selling a few ads locally. I don't know how he drives traffic to it on a regular basis but he said he was averaging about 7,000 clicks a day. I didn't ask him how many of those were uniques and how many were repeat visitors but he also said that on the day he called the Paul Finebaum Show he got 47,000 visits to his site.
No, I didn't read it. I generally can't push past elementary school level grammatical mistakes in headlines. Edit: But I did click the link, so he's got one more click to add to his collection.
I don't think they would allow "The Slightly Stoned LSU Blog" in their games for free, though the food would go perfect.
