They are in title not necessarily in beliefs though. but thats besides the point. i have a lot of respect for an owner that can stay true to his beliefs and not sell out.
You're right on both counts. Another fine Christian businessman who closes for business on Sundays is David Green whose Hobby Lobby store was founded in 1972 in Oklahoma City. He now has 264 stores. The Hobby Lobby Statement of Purpose reinforces the Christian values that dominate the business plan: It is indeed admirable to see business owners who put their money where their mouth is, so to speak. These men have not forgotten that there is more to life and business than just making money. In short, it's not just being successful - it's how you obtain success that's important.
I wish more people had those qualities. I have to work Christmas Day because a bunch of doofusses want to fly all over the country. It goes both ways. If people wouldn't want to go pick up the new Britney Spears CD on Sunday I think WalMart woule probably close too. The whole commercialism thing has me wishing Christmas would just go away.
Wrong. They have one on campus at University of Minnesota. The reason that they're closed on Sunday is to allow their employees to go to church. I respect that. I wish other establishments would follow suit. I could never find a part time job that would let me off on Sundays so that I could go to church. Yeah I could get like a Sunday off every once in awhile, but I go to church every Sunday. EDIT - Should have read the rest of the thread before commenting. Oh well.
