I was a bit concerned about his ego coming into play when he was drafted, but I've been very pleasantly surprised by his attitude. As far as on the field, does he have room to improve? Sure. But he's done a lot of things for this team, and lately, it hasn't been in the decoy role. He maybe could have made a move and made things happen on those plays when he went out of bounds, but I think it's an improvement on him trying to make something out of nothing and backtracking 5 yards. There will be other plays. And bobbling the sideline pass, are you serious? What about our boy Devery dropping a huge gain that hit him in the hands? Bush is allowed a drop (which it wasn't even a drop, btw) every once in a while.
I gotta admit, the guy has really surprised me. I haven't seen him play much at all this year, but he appears to be adapting quite well. He seems to be incorporating a style very similar to the one he played with in college, something that I did not think he would be able to do.
Bush has dropped very few passes this year. He has the softest hands I have seen in a long while. Really an incredible talent. Now it finally clicked today in the running game for him. What a beast he will be for many many years to come.
I thought he was joking. After the last few years, how can anything about this year's Saints be frustrating? And Loco is a USL fan. I think it's the winning part that's frustrating him. He's not quite sure how to act. Loco: Winning games is good. Losing games is bad. I don't care what the Lafayette Daily Fertilizer says.
Ok yes Bush has had off and on games this year, and yes sometimes for him to gain yards up the middle is if the hole is the size of Oprahs ass, BUT this is the dudes first year, if he is doing what he is doing this year, imagine what he is gonna be like after he puts on about 5 to 10 pounds of mass during the off season. This year they used him as a decoy, next year we will all witness a star being born!
Look, I like Bush as a player, but I think that it's funny how before he was a Saint, pre-draft, everyone was bashing him and USC for that whole ordeal with his family living in a USC house or whatever and blah, blah, blah. But now that he's a Saint, everyone forgets about it and how USC operates as long as their guy is on our team. :dis: But he is a good player.
Because people hoped to see the USC program get in trouble because of it all. So that made plenty of people around here salivate at the thought of it all. In the same manner, people salivated over the thought of getting a player like Bush on the Saints team. Nobody ever denied his talent. So what's funny? The fact that you can't distinguish between the two situations??
I dont know about anyone else but ONCE a player is a Saint, all of his past transgressions are forgiven. And just like LSU players Once a Saint Always a Saint. I still cheered for Ricky Jackson, Pat Swilling, and Sam Mills once they went to greener pastures.
