Here is one very huge question about Jimbo; Why is Fla St not trying harder to retain Jimbo? Dont know about you guys but I am not hearing rumors that Fla St is making any big moves to retain him, anyone hear anything different?
Are you shitting us? You actually expected LSU to beat Bama? was that expectation before Miles was fired or after? If before Miles firing you cant be serious and if after Miles you still cant be serious. We all know Miles wasnt going to beat them and if anyone here thinks that a HC with only 3 games as HC with a fisrt year DC and an OC with only 3 games as our OC was going to beat Bama you are dreaming. What we accomplished in that game is amazing anyway we actually were in the game with a chance of winning with a break or two.
Maybe expected is a little strong, but I didn't expect our offense to be so entirely inept. With a little better offensive performance, I think we would have won the game. With Miles i'dve expected squat.
I myself didnt have big expectations from a 3 game head coach. Think about it you appoint O after 4 games into the season and he has 3 games to first keep his team together, appoint a new OC which has to be from the current staff only because where are you going to find an OC at the middle of the season who knows our players and then ask him to beat the best football team in America. O has done a marvelous job
Considering everything that happened during the weeks preceding the game and the fact that we had to run basically the same offense, I was damned pleased with our performance against Bama. Not so against Florida though. We played Bama tougher than anyone has all year...maybe last year too. Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of there.
Not with you on the Fla game coaches put our team in position to win and players didnt execute like they did in the first 6 games of O's tenure. Those mistakes last Sat were not happening the 5 games before, had they been I would blame the coaching. Anybody who thinks its always coaching that loses games does not understand the game well enough, just saying.
