I think there is a good probabilty that Lane Kiffin is our next head coach.

He and Ogeron are good friends and I see Coach O staying on his staff. He brings offensive mindset the fans are eager to see. He gave the LSU kid his visor after the game. lol

Kiffin should be about ready to get away from Saban by now. He and Oeaux are good buds. Wouldn't be bad for him to be the guy running the offense and developing QB's

Honestly, I'm not a fan. But...

It could be a good thing. He's had a few seasons under Saban to see how things are done, and he can develop an offense and QB. With the right coordinators I could see him doing well at LSU. And like him or not, he can recruit as well. But the way he left UT kind of worries me.

this fan base absolutely astounds me.

we fire a guy for not being good enough and we seriously mention guys like Orgeron and Kiffin as his replacement?

both guys have been unceremoniously dumped at previous stops. one was left at the freaking airport even.

Miles needed to go, no doubt. His replacement needs to be a top flight, homer hire.
neither Kiffin nor O fits that description.

I agree with you on all counts. But who's the home run hire going to be? I just don't see the AD getting it done.

With the right HC hire tho I think Kiffen would/could make a good OC fit. Like I said I am no fan of his at all, but he can recruit and develop an offense.

You dont, you hire a HC that knows the college game and has sense enough to hire a quality OC and is smart enough to let that OC do his job. That's really all Miles needed to do. This on the job interview for O isn't to find out if he knows offense, it's to find out if he knows how to be a HC.

did you watch the game last night?
it looked EXACTLY like a Les Miles coached game.

    Defense played lights out

Offense looked completely inept and clueless. time management was a joke. had to burn timeouts twice because we couldn't get a play called or what personnel needed to be on the field. called a timeout with 8 seconds left to run a hail mary on 4th down instead of calling it with 2 seconds left to ensure it was the last play of the half. multiple times we ran Fournette into a stacked box for 1 yard on first and second downs, then on 3rd and 8 ran a pass play designed to get 5 yards.

he had one job last night. and that job wasn't even having to beat Bama.

it was to not look like Les Miles while losing to Bama.

and he came out and did a spot on Les Miles impression. complete with blaming "execution on offense" in the post game interviews.

This is pretty rich coming from the guy who blamed everyone but the head coach on offense for much of a decade.

And continually put it on the OC.

Why on earth do you now want to burn Les miles offense to the ground.

3 games under O is not another HCs offense. You need an off season and a full season of games to implement your philosophy.

Hell Les got a decade yet O gets 3 weeks with les' qb and he's out? Explain that one.
