well look. ark and ole miss (and bama) have been fielding good teams lately. it's hard to have all the division games bunched up at the end of the season like it's been the last few seasons. LSU needs to get the number ones to the point that they know what the hell is going on so that reserves can come in and out of the game and give the number ones a rest. but the problem is that we are how many games into the season and the ones still have no idea what's going on? that's the coach's fault.

The last coach I would want is Spurrier and I am not so keen on Nutt. Why did he leave Arkansas? I don't think he is a great recruiter and it will show in time with Ole Miss. Remember, he's playing with players recruited by a really great recruiting coach.

I think they will pack it in, either physically, mentally, or both.

The team and the staff lack intelligence and character.

    Disgraceful and dysfunctional combo.

Sorry you will see such an azz-whuppin. Heck, Arkansas has beat us when we could hold our heads up. Saturday will be ugly, and I ain't just talking those gay unis.

i have been a les miles apologist for a couple of years now. however, their is absolutely no excuse for what i just witnessed this afternoon. Never have i seen a team at this level so utterly lossed in a game situation as lsu was today. Bad Coaching is the only explanation

I'm not a big fan of Nutt either, but that's two years in a row that his coaching staff has taken the LSU coaching staff behind the wood shed. I'm not a Spurrier fan in fact I hated him for years, but he is a pretty good coach and would surely be a step up. I like Miles and I'd really like to see him pull his head out of his a$$ for a second straight year.

Honestly, in my mind the Arkansas game is light years away. At this point I can't predict a win or a loss. I know what the outcome should be based on talent, but I'm not confident that it will transpire. I hate being in a position to not be able to confidently go out and talk smack to my SEC friends these days like I used to. If you aren't reasonably sure you can win, it may be better to keep your mouth closed. I haven't been supremely confident all season in any SEC game. That makes me a little sad. :bncry:

I kind of resent that anytime a fan, a true fan, questions CLM in any way or fashion they will be subjected to scorn and ridicule and attacked or insulted by some of the "old guard" here. Having my loyalty, football knowledge, or devotion to LSU questioned is insulting. I can guarantee you that I've been through more with this team and this university than a lot of members here, and less than others. I suppose I have to understand that there are plenty of Chicken Little's that show up every day especially after a loss.

I Have to say i 100% agree. Miles' teams just dont look like the hard nose, hit you in the mouth, burn you with speed teams we have seen in the past. From year to year we are looking less discipline, less dominate, and keep squeaking by wins. I think we are getting the wins mainly on talent of our recruits alone; even though we dont use our recruits to their full potential. We always seem to be walking on that fine razor's edge with our teams sway a little to much one way and we have a year like last year. Where is the dominate football????? That is the most infuriating things about Miles' teams.

Ok Your right I cannot defend the Arkansas losses. Nor can I defend Les Miles tonight.

I still dont think he should be fired. But I cannot argue tonight.

The Ole Miss fans don't even understand what happened? This obervation from another forum....
    :insane:

Every single Ole Miss fan in the stadium felt the exact same way. When we lost the onside kick. Especially when LSU got to our 30. We were talking about it then. On the 30 with 40 seconds and 2 timeouts, we all knew LSU was just going to line up, run it twice and call TO, kick the FG. Good game. Our hopes rested on a miss or a block.

And then LSU lines up in the shotgun.

"No way. We've been putting tons of people across the LOS, Jefferson has either been getting sacked or hit. Why risk the sack? Why risk the rushed throw and possible INT?"

And then he drops back to pass.

Unbelievable. Stunned. The whole sequence. Ole Miss doesn't normally get those kinds of favors.

Yes, I'm not sure I'm back to rationality yet either. I called for CLM's firing in another thread. I suspect I'll feel the same tomorrow; there's absolutely no excuse for the coach of a major program, who commands the kind of salary he's paid, to be that badly outcoached week after week, and to be so completely situationally unaware as he was tonight.

And yes, I do believe he's been outcoached in virtually every game this season. The only other explanation I can propose is that we all stop giving any credence to rivals, scout, or any other recruiting evaluators. Because if Miles is as good a coach as some would like us to believe, then clearly our players are being overrated as prospects by those guys. We consistently recruit in the top 10, but over the last 2 seasons, I believe you can count the number of times we've played like a top 10 team on one hand. Someone's overrated; either our players, or our coaches.
