I don't hate you, but I think you're stretching it.

I was going to reply with another long thread deconstructing your argument, but I just erased it all.

I've come to the conclusion that you must listen to the games and not watch them. The only reason I used stats to prove you wrong is because you think that stats are the most important. You fail to realize that stats don't show the erratic projection of the passes, the wimping out on a scramble, the locking onto to one guy on every play of every game, the crappily thrown screen passes taken for long gains by good WRs and RBs, etc. No one would know about the pick sixes if we didn't remember them, since they aren't included in general statistics.

Stafford could scramble (rushed for 80+ yards and a TD against Auburn as a frosh) and would stick his neck on the line for his team. Lee floundered on 3rd and 2 with plenty of room to run. Where's that stat?

Lee's stats are inflated and misleading, but there is no convincing you otherwise. Gary Danielson and Verne Lundquist both said that JP Wilson holds almost every Bama passing record, but he'll never be considered one of the great Bama QB's because his stats are inflated and misleading. It's the same with these stats you cling to.

    But I'm just a "kayjun."

Aside from the scramble I agree with all those points.

The scramble was one play, the first time I've ever seen Lee scramble (normally he stays in the pocket and takes the hit) and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he thought he could loft it over the head of the defender and KW could break it wide open.

Now if Lee makes it a habit of doing that, it's another story. I just honestly believe he was tried to turn his 2 yards, into possibly big yardage by lofting it to KW.

I think a lot of people get my defending of Lee confused. No, I really do think Lee has made some really bad plays (as I've said multiple times). I just don't think we should be asking to replace him by an even less experienced QB, who everytime the camera pans to him on the sideline looks as if he's about to pee his pants.

And I believe Lee has made a huge sacrifice for the team, which people forget about.

Truth is, I realized that if my friend's read this post they might cut off my shipments of moonshine and I couldn't allow that to happen.

Dang. Went over my head. (What movie?)

I've never said bench Lee completely. Let Lee start, but freaking work in JJ. That should have happened as soon as Hatch went down. I'm not expecting JJ to come in and be the second coming, but I want to see what he can do.

Again, I pull for Jarrett Lee 100% when he's in the game. I WANT him to win and do well. I think he performed better with Hatch coming in to settle him down. JJ should have been in there.
