Clair, somehow I knew you'd know. Usually when you think of points in the paint, you think of Shaq or another big man. The 3 seconds in the paint illegal defense has really opened up the game for the little guys.
Kind of makes you wonder why anyone would guard him close on the perimeter. Guys should play off of him and make him hit jump shots.
I was wondering that myself. I know he's quick and all, but I don't understand why he's so hard to guard.
It's just people are used to playing defense respecting a point guard's shot. Parker may well be able to hit 60% on open jump shots, but the Cavs should make him prove it. Although we may see a little better effort tonight with Gibson likely getting more PT than the slow ass Larry Hughes.
Think about all the points that John Stockton (yeah, I'm going back to when I actually gave a damn about the NBA) scored... He was a paint guy.. picked up alot of sneaky rebounds and layups...
