They used every gun in their arsenal and made a very good Jets defense look helpless for much of the night.
Man, I was just getting ready to post this! Chad Henne got only his 2nd NFL start tonight, so he's obviously limited. So what do the Dolphins do? Throw the kitchen sink at one of the best D's in the NFL. Countless formations, three different QB's (can you say Jefferson, Lee, Shepard?), short passes, medium passes, long passes. Power runs, options, sweeps. And they allowed Henne to get confident and pull out the win. Awesome game. Best I've seen in awhile. You're right. I hope Les and Crowton learned something.
I CANNOT believe you started a thread with this title. That's EXACTLY what I was thinking while I was watching, especially with RW and RB in the same backfield running the Wild/cat/tiger/fish/whatever. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
When I was watching the Dolphins I thought to myself this is exactly what LSU has to do. Put the BEST players out there, get the them the ball and let them play. Know your limitations but adapt to your personnel. Of course they have one of the greatest coaches leading them in Parcells. The formations and play calling is exactly what LSU should be doing to put the ball in the best players. Utilizing the best players. As well as using the misdirection plays will help cover up the weakness of the OL. The diversity and off balance calling would help JJ. Plus having Lee play would help to go deeper sometimes as well. The competition could force JJ to play better or sit down. Even if Miles watched the game I wonder if the light bulb turned on?
That was a great game, very exciting, 5 lead changes in 4th quarter, great QB play. I didn't know Henne had such a strong arm.
The Fish must've stolen a copy of Gary Crowton's World Famous Play Book, and actually used it. ldskule:
