I haven't looked outside of the South Eastern states yet...but the biggest shock I have had this morning was Spiller to Clemson. I can only think of 3 people that suggested there was even the slightest chance he'd end up in "Death Valley, Jr."

As that soaked in I looked at a little more names that UF was "supposed" to get this class. Some de-commited a few weeks ago...but just look at the talent that was "headed" to Florida at one point but ended up elsewhere.

    5 star C. J. Spiller to Clemson
4 star Jevan Snead to Texas
3 star Ben Cleveland to Arkansas
4 star Damian Williams to Arkansas
4 star Damon McDaniel to FSU
4 star Patrick Robinson to FSU...

There are some playmakers in that group.

I suspect that some of them see the reality that Meyer is gambling Florida's future on being able to outscore the better teams in the SEC East.

You stack at WR and you come up short somewhere else, especially on defense.

They are also able to do the math. You are also talking about players who may not see enough playing time and others who may see too much.

But there is little doubt that Meyer will continue to receive all kinds of hype.

Meanwhile, Georgia just brought in another top 10 class that will continue to keep Georgia as the program with the most talent in the SEC East.

That's well said, Chip. I can see where Meyer would think "I can just out score them" since that's what made Spurrior a success much of the time.

I do wonder if we'll see him go back to trying to run that spread option next season or he'll stick with the two TE sets, pro style attack they started winning with in the midst of last season.

Chip makes a good point. I thought the same thing during the recruiting process with all of those receivers, but they kept staying solid to Florida so I didn't know what to think. It seems that now they've started to realize.

This sucks for Florida if they don't get the #1 recruiting class though, because even with a top 5 finish it will be viewed as a dissapointment.

Chip you are correct. Richt and UGA did sign an impressive class which should keep them right up at the top of the SEC.
