But that is changing this fall. I am coming to town this fall with three of my best friends in tow.

Full disclosure. We are not LSU alums or fans in the traditional sense. We have never been to an LSU game (at LSU -- I did see LSU play Va. Tech in Blacksburg several years ago). We are just 4 guys that went to high school together (in Virginia no less) and we are HUGE college football fans. In particular we love SEC football.

While time and age has spread us across the country we get back at least once a year for a college football game as our respective schedules allow. Some guys golf, we go to football games. Over the past several years we've been to Athens, Jacksonville, Oxford, Knoxville, and last year -- Tuscaloosa. This year it looks like your October 24th game versus Auburn is our game of choice this year. We are already PUMPED!!

A little bit more about us: we actually are ACC partisans. I went to the University of Virginia, another guy is a Hokie (yeah, I know, but we've been friends since we were 10), another is NC State/Virginia Commonwealth, and the other guy is a Hampden Sydney Tiger but a U.Va. fan by extension. We love ACC football, we go to our respective alma maters' games as often as possible, but there is a reason why our annual travels take us to the SEC. Regardless of the product on the field, the SEC rules, hands down, in game-time atmosphere (just ask Ole Miss). More importantly, we've met some of the nicest people along the way (although I certainly understand if you disagree).

By the way, I am looking for a certain video about the game atmosphere in Death Valley (and no, I don't mean Clemson, although they are pretty good too in their own way).

A couple years ago one of the LSU websites (geauxtigers.com maybe?) had a really well-done video about the game experience on Saturday. I've looked for it again today, and have found several decent ones, but it's not the one I have in mind.

I was just looking for the video to share with my buddies to get us even more fired up.

Thanks for any help and I am really looking forward to our trip to Baton Rouge this fall.

Well, I can tell you that gameday at and around Tiger Stadium will not disappoint. It is absolutely electrofying. The fans will welcome you, offer you food and drinks and they'll definitely show you a good time.

See you in a few months.

Welcome to the site and have fun at the game. I'm sure someone will come along and link a video for you. If it is a night game, you'll get to really soak up the atmosphere, especially if you come and tailgate with us during the day leading up to the game.

    Have a good time.

Now thats an awesome tradition. Hats off to you and your friends. If you think Ole Miss was something, you ain't seen nothing yet. Auburn is a good game to pick as it has become somewhat of a rivalry. Here is some very 'tame' footage of what you and your buddies might expect, really doesn't do it justice but here goes

Don't feel bad dude I've never tailgated for an LSU game...Honest... never have.

As a student, I always partied in the apartments I lived in. Never actually "tailgated". After I graduated I never was able to go to any games.

Congratulations on picking what is usually the best game of the year for both us and them. Auburn-LSU games never disappoint. I've seen 3 of them live and they are all in my top 10. Unfortunately one of them was a 10-9 loss at Auburn while I was hungover, but it was still an awesome game.
