It's very interesting to note the developments with not only the LSU football program, but, also this board.

The offense scored 28 points. Is this not a positive?

The defense is very young, were distracted by Chief rumors AND LSU was cheated out of a TD.

Coach Miles is still the winningest coach in LSU history, can recruit with the best, runs a clean program, is a good family man, and represents the University very well.

What's up with all of these demands about winning the West next year or year after next? And some of our most ardent Coach Miles fans making these demands !

Things are very different tonight than they were just 24 hours ago, and it is very interesting.

It's because people are finally starting to realize the LEM is not nearly the God that they think he is. He caught lightning in a bottle for a year, great snake oil salesman but a middle of the pack head coach.

If he doesn't satiate their thirst, more importantly their need to validate their arduous defense of him when others saw through the cracks in the armour...well...it makes them look like fools. They took the bait.

You have hit the reason that I defended him for years, starting right after he got there. I think people are tired of seeing us lose games we have no business losing, seeing zero progress on the offense despite multiple OC's, seeing yet another QB situation that is going to set us back years, having a coach who can't call a time out, and going just over 500 in conference the past two years despite having top 10 talent in the country. And, there is a sneaking suspicion that the reason that we lose so many juniors year after year is that after being there for a couple of years, they come to the realization that things are not going to improve, and they decide to bolt while they can. Because of this, many believe that it is only a matter of time, with other programs on the assent, that we are seriously on the decline, and if recruiting dries up (even a little bit) we will be in the crapper in short order.

    Interesting.

I don't know whether this will turn into a Pro-Miles thread or Anti-Miles thread, but, I hope that the Pro-Miles people will find their way here soon to offer some Pro-Miles points.

The offense scored 21. Fournette scored 2 of those with Diarse scoring 1 on a play that was so wide open Stevie wonder could have connected with Ray Charles for six.

I can give the D a pass because that was not like them, they improved all season. What's sad is our passing game is so pathetic that we had run a fucking fumblerooskie, a wide receiver pass and a fake field goal.

Anyone who says LSU is not on a downward trend is fooling themselves and trust me I was there. I feel retarded for not seeing it sooner. Everyone else in the SEC is getting better except LSU and you can tell by the comments of the players.

I guess it's sort of hard to defend Miles right now. Next year, we really do need to win the West, or we've truly lost our edge.

Oddly enough, ND beat us using Miles' favorite gameplan. They killed us on time of possession. Our defense could not get off the field, and when our offense scored (and they scored enough to reasonably expect to win), we truly scored too fast to give our defense a rest.

I will still be a Miles fan because I am an LSU fan, and it would drive me nuts to hate our coach, while trying to love our team. That's a counterproductive way to go through life.

It's sort of how I became a Cowboys fan. After living in Dallas for almost 10 years, I decided I'd be a lot happier during football season if I just pulled for the freakin' home team. Ironically enough, we sucked consistently after that (until this season.)
