Say what? Can't help it, you play on my TV every week.:)It's a study in human nature, that's for sure. And the stubbornness of head coaches is legendary. But Saturday will tell the tale. Cam Cameron isn't the problem. I've seen him move a team through the air. Harris is not Bert Jones, but he's good enough to execute at a dangerous level, cause "they" be loading the box. Les just needs to come out and do what he always does, control the LOS and when everyone has seen and felt LF, and you got the field position, spread them out. I'm calling it man, Les has GOT religion.

    Tusk...
At this point, we have been burned by so many claims of better QB play and a different offense that none of us will believe it until we actually see it. But I remain hopeful.

It is all of them. Les, Cam, and Harris.

Les - stubborn, 3 yards and a cloud of dust, force the running game and keep on forcing it until it either works or we get in a hole and have to throw and by that time it's too late.

Cam - no imagination, no plays designed to utilize the skill set the QB has. Square peg round hole mentality.

Harris - when Cam does call a good play, Harris can't complete it. How many short passes that would have been big gainers did Harris send a Nolan Ryan pitch into? I think maybe you can remember 1 in particular. But it happened a lot last year.

Boy, this is shaping up as an exciting year on the forum. Just hope I live long enough to get through it. Though I must admit, retirement seems to suit me quite well, thank you!

I get it. He's not my coach and I still marvel at his stubbornness. Shula did this to me for 4 years and we were stinking the place up. I wouldn't even think about saying it this year, but Les thought he was real gone and he knew why. But as a fan, you have to take a believe it when you see it approach.

And 20 years ago 3 yards......stuff worked, championships and all. Rule changes have made it too easy these days to move the ball. The hurry up is cramming 5 quarters of action into 4 quarters of play. More opportunity to light up the scoreboard. Kinda silly not to beat them at their own game. The best defense will be the difference.

I'm not telling you anything, but I thought your QB got hurt in the first half against Bama? But again, LSU didn't come into the Bama game with a lot of confidence through the air because they didn't establish it through the season.

Anyway, glad it's the afternoon game cause it's gonna be interesting to see what a tumultuous offseason has produced with Les.

Eh... He has done pretty well with off the field stuff in the past. Hurricanes, players acting stupid and getting suspended, people wanting him gone, that's par for the course.

I think we'll know pretty quickly about the passing game. We should be able to push around Wisconsin's offensive line, so we'll run the ball, but if we see 15 passing attempts with 4 of them long ones, it's gonna be the same old offense. We need to be able to execute the short to intermediate passing game out of the box, especially since we'll be able to run the ball. Passing should be relatively easy. It's not going to rapidly improve during the regular season. If we seem to be hiding our QB, it's for a good reason...

So you are in favor of coming out with the same attack, but with a talent upgrade on the LOS? I was actually making an excuse for Harris, I understood he got hit on his TD throw in the first half.

I don't recommend any championship team to come out chucking 50 times as a gameplan. I submit, for your inspection, a balanced offense. Meaning, that you can read the D and based on how they scheme can pass or throw "effectively," on ANY down. It's only sensible to play to field position and down and distance to hit the big ones.

Opening holes for Fournette is a lot easier when you have a passing game. The 2 go hand in hand.
