do we think the quarterback situation is gonna be improved over last several years? What has you excited, beside #7? What has you worried? What has you terrified?
You would think QB play would be improved based solely on experience alone. I think Dameyun Craig should also have a positive effect on QB play. What excites me? Dave Aranda and the Dline. What worries me? Les Miles offense! What terrifies me? Les Miles offense!
Golden Girls and it's almost time to switch to Makers Mark The D Line If I posted it I might not live to see the sunrise.
My fear is that we return to a dominating top 3 defense only to piss it all away with Les Miles directing this offense.
Harris himself said he is the best QB in college football and has the best arm. Aren't we going to take him at his word? Who else could blow the national championship with the greatest defense in modern college football history. I'm excited to see the new defense under Aranda. Will he live up to the hype or will he be another Lou Tepper. Of course Tepid didn't have a Coach O helping him out. I'm both worried and terrified that Les is still the same old Les. 8-0 going into the Bama game and then 8-2 after the R Kansas game. Cue up the Sinatra tune "I did it my way" while we all sing "It's the same old song."
No, I don't think it will. I don't think Harris is worth a fuck. I don't think if he was he would ever play to his potential with this coaching staff. Miles and Cameron have their faults for sure when it comes to passing offense and they damn sure have tried to turn a running quarterback into a pocket passer, problem is Harris isn't good enough to convert to a pocket passer. He has a cannon, and he is decent when the pocket is moving to his right, and he has wheels, but for some reason we don't do that and we don't help him out with more than 2 receivers most of the time, and we don't use tight ends either. Harris will complete some bombs and some long crossing routes, but he is absolutely terrible on 3rd down and more than 5. His intermediate passing game is terrible but again, the coaching staff could help him out and move the pocket or add more receivers. It's gonna be the same ole same this season, and if it's not I'll be glad to admit I was wrong, but fool me once shame on you, fool me...not gonna get fooled again.
LaSalle, do you have any doubts by the middle of the second quarter LSU is not going to begin the complete dismantling of the Wisconsin Badgers? I don't bet, but that point spread ain't safe.
I think we will put them away in the 4th, but I don't think we will begin to dismantle them in the 2nd. Talent at LSU will win 9 games, it's the other 3 games where we will have to be able to move the chains on 3rd and through the air that are a huge concern.
Well, I have my own personal ideas about this year but it does go against history. If LSU comes out in some pro-style spread formations in Green Bay, Les is trying. Last season the Tigers refused to open up the offense against lesser opponents and if they thought, against the big boys in Nov was the time to practice, Les was really wrong. I think this near death experience has motivated Cam and the gang to open it up somewhat at the get go and have a more polished passing spread attack at the back half of the schedule. If I see that against Wisky, I'm calling it for the rest of the season.
I know you are a Bama dude, so I'm not gonna ask if you have been paying attention to LSU over the last few years but not opening it up against the low level teams and then expecting to be able to against the big boys is pretty much his modus operandi.
