Sorry I just can't take the Pac serious other than USC, Stanford, and Oregon. The offenses are impressive, most of them have those Cali kids as quarterbacks, and California does pump out some really good qb's. UCLA, I just really don't like Jim Mora. I think he is probably trying to beat Nick Saban in the biggest prick in college football contest, but the last 2 years they do have a good squad. USC and Oregon have really been the only 2 teams that have been consistently good since 2000. Yeah they have a few turd seasons sprinkled in there but they bounce back. I don't know about Sark. He seems better when the spotlight isn't on him. Now he is at the conference's flagship university he seems out of place.
It's definitely a flying proposition. I'm hoping to go, but I will probably stay in Milwaukee, rather than Green Bay, where I hear the hotels are somewhat scarce and over-priced. I was in Milwaukee a few weeks ago for a wedding. I'd never been, but I really liked it. The downtown was super clean and really pretty, and the weather for August was fantastic with highs in the low 70's. The airport is nice there, too. If I go to that game, I can also avoid throwing my Wear Your College Colors Party that is getting to a an out-of-hand Labor Day tradition in my neighborhood.
Dont read too much into it. ASU was just about the worst Oline in the country last year in giving up sacks. Doesn't look like that has changed. There is no magic there than the reality of what happened.
Mora is a prick. Still, Rosen is a true freshman and I watched the game Saturday. He was more than impressive. With the scholarship limitations, I think we've hung around far longer and better than most would or expected. We'll be better next year. 13 true freshman played last Sat. He's not the guy. The PC coaching tree should die with him.
I have to travel up to MKE for business and it is not a bad town during non winter months. By far my favorite hotel is the Iron Horse near the Harley Davidson museum. Great restaurant there too. The Pfister hotel is not bad but old.
I didn't find it too smelly that day I was there back in August. It certainly didn't reach Bourbon Street heights of stench.
