I hate you John Chavis

Five weeks, but I'm nit-picking on that.

Through five weeks of play, OU was still getting first place votes: a team that finished with five losses.

I don't put much in the first game of the season; for anyone.

 

Chavis was always pretty good against gimmicky offenses. And many Pac 10 offenses would fall into that category.

 

this is a good point. it was the straight ahead, smash mouth teams that gave his defenses the most trouble.

 

Any team that can grind out a drive, even if it doesn't end in points. Get em tired just like what happened when he was here

 

I thought most Pac offenses ran a pro style offense.

 

Arizona State was 6 for 17 on 3rd down conversions for anyone that cares.

 

I only care about the yardage, the anomaly would be if they didn't pick up a collection of of say 3rd and 8 or more

 

Pro style, gimmicky. Whatever...

 

Spread = gimmicky, not pro style. Ask your dad.

 

This is me not respecting Pac 10 offenses. They beat each other up, but not so much when they play schools from the SEC.
