I gotta admit that I'm so scared to play Bama

Score is currently 38-20 with 12 minutes left in the game.

    Total yards
    Bama - 281
    UK - 259

Problem is that UK has given up 4 turnovers (3 interceptions and 1 fumble).

Compare to Florida @ Kentucky last week, which FL won 41-7:

    Total yards
    FL - 496
    UK - 179

    Final Total Yards
    Bama -- 352
    UK -- 305

    Not very impressive.

Nick made some weird decisions late in the 4th quarter there... faked a FG and then threw it for the endzone when his team was already up 38-20, Kentucky fans were raining down boos and even the announcers started questioning what Saban was doing.

Quit acting like a little girl and get behind your team.

Whatever. Bama is peaking now. We've still got our best games ahead of us. We're improving with every game that we play. By the time we get to Bama, we'll be twice as good as we are now.

Will they be tough? You bet. Will they be invincible? Not. Even. Close. I think the gap between them and us was larger last year, and we took their sorry butts into OT.

And I am sorry, no way in hell are they better than Florida right now. You'll see that on Saturday night. We'll need everything that we've got and then some to beat the Gators, even with the Tiger Stadium night game mystique on our side.

i don't know. i think that they're a little more versatile on offense. Florida just doesn't have the receivers this season. defense is a draw. but i think once things fall together for BAMA, they'll be better. i wish we played BAMA next week instead of florida though, because i don't think that BAMA has peaked yet.

i just think that BAMA has been the most impressive team this season. florida is a close second, but how good are they without tebow? i feel MUCH better about both of them after today.

Disagree. Florida runs easily the most versatile offense in the country. Just because Tebow doesn't do a lot of dropping-back doesn't mean that they can't pass. Truth is, they don't need to do a lot of traditional passing.
I keep hearing people say this, and I think it's a silly thing to hang onto. Sure, they lost a couple of guys to the NFL. But really, how can anyone think that's going to make a huge difference in their production? They run an offense that's generally designed to give overmatched teams and advantage. Yet they still have superior athletes.
What things? I thought you said they have a more versatile offense than Florida? Where are they lacking? Offense has played well, defense hass played well, and their special teams are pretty good, too. That's why I think they're very close to peaking.
Why in the hell do you keep capitalizing 'bama'?
We'll fare better against Bama b/c they run a traditional offense. That's why we did ok today. Chavis hasn't been able to keep up with the spread all year, and he's gone against far, far inferior athletes thus far. However, the Bama RB's are much, much better than UGA's.

Saban coached LSU to the most humiliating loss to Georgia in LSU History. Saban's last team at LSU got beat down 16-45 @ Georgia in 2004. How in the hell did that happen?

Here are all the losses LSU had to Georgia in history... who stands out as the biggest loser?

    2004 -- 29 pts (16-45) -- Saban!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    1948 -- 22 pts (0-22)
    1991 -- 21 pts (10-31)
    2005 -- 20 pts (14-34)
    1947 -- 16 pts (19-35)
    1952 -- 17 pts (14-27)
    1978 -- 14 pts (17-24)
    1979 -- 7 pts (14-21)
    1949 -- 7 pts (0-7)
    2008 -- 14 pts (38-52)
    1999 -- 1 pt (22-23)
    1998 -- 1 pt (27-28)

fair enough. i just think that they're still a bit rusty. not quite as tight as they'll be later in the season when we play them
    lol, good question.

i think we'll be OK against florida IF we can get pressure on the QB. i think we'll be OK against the run as well. don't get me wrong, both teams are very good. i just think that Bama (better? lol) may have more potential. of course florida's coaching is a LOT better. so they get the edge there.
Florida struggled against a UT defense that doesn't look all that great. Bama ended up putting up a ton of points on UK team that actually was playing VERY well. they played a lot better against Bama than they did against florida.

i think UF has the slightly easier schedule too. we'll see. :)
