    He was being projected anywhere from late first round to mid 2nd round had he left early.

    His love for LSU kept him here another year and he has to be commended for that.

    Sadly, his stock is plummeting on a weekly basis and will almost inevitably be a 2nd day draft pick and could slip as far as 6th or 7th round, scrapping to try and make a team.

    I feel for you, young man.

    Most of this is because he's playing more fullback now. Not getting the quality carries he had last year.

    Well no. He's just not very good this year. Couple that with poor O-line play and the fact that someone has obviously kidnapped Gary Crowton, and voila you have what you have.

    :rofl::rofl:

    I do think we're too predictable with the run with defenses stacking the line.

    I think the loss of Herman Johnson is showing up dramatically. We get no push on the offensive line. Last year when we wanted tough yards we ran behind Ciron and Herman. This year, Ciron isn't anchoring down as well as we would love for him to and the interior of our offensive line gets no push.

    We're not very good in pass protection, either.

    Guys they are stacking the line... that Scott up the middle play was basically gone after the beginning of the year last year.

    The only way you are going to get out of this is passing, and not telegraphing plays, he did better today not telegraphing but you have to eventually throw from the pocket. Even after a few big deep plays the defense is still not respecting the long passing game.

    Two problems now I see.
    1.) LSU should have been passing more weeks 1-3, some of those runs in the early games got yardage because of pure talent with the guy with the ball... that crap ain't going to work in the SEC... .Jefferson needed more experience and the OC failed.
    2.) The offense line can't pass block and there is no real easy solution to that... the other team is stack the line and blitzing... you have to make them pay somehow or it will be a long season.

    Anyone else see Jefferson throw at least 4-5 deep balls out of the pocket today with excellent reads?

    Or Im I blind?

    he looked good. id guess it has most to do with open receivers and good protection (on many successful plays), but he was spot on for the most part. the reads will continue to get better. i think he'd be much more productive if he had better pocket awareness. too many times he leaves the pocket when he should step forward, but its nitpicking and he is getting better at this.

    i imagine its time for GC to pull out all the stops. seems like the best lsu can hope for next week is a tight high scoring game.
