John makes a good point about noticing the icons. If you make a phone call to someone, you must know their phone number. It'd be very hard to know internet numeric address for web sites. The internet has Domain Name Servers (DNS) that translate web site names like www.tigerforums.com into an Internet Protocol (IP) address. Since Brett is using a new server, the address on the DNS still sends you to the old server. If you ping www.tigerforums.com you get: Pinging tigerforums.com [72.34.32.200] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 72.34.32.200: bytes=32 time=63ms TTL=56 Look at your address bar and you see the new server address: http://69.93.172.10/ I read a thread, then go back to the forum menu and choose another forum or thread. As long as I see the 69.93.172.10 in the address box, I know I'm on the new server. The links to forums in the top menu bar are set to www.tigerforums.com, so you go to the old server. When the DNS servers are refreshed in a day or so, they will point www.tigerforums.com to the new IP address 69.93.172.10 and all will be well again. Anyway, we're 2007 BCS National Champs! :crystal:
