I guess he was just happy he kept the Huskies out of the end zone and forced them to attempt a FG. However, had the Huskies needed more than 3 points to win, the Huskies would have then had Jake, (Tebow of the West) simply run it in like he did for their only other touchdown of the game. So the Huskies would have won no matter what USC had done earlier, (when they were stopped short of the first down and were forced to kick a FG instead of the go-head touchdown).
That's no different than them playing in the Rose Bowl every year against the 1st or 2nd place Big 10 team. It's pretty much a home game for them and against some pretty poor competition. Then when they invariably beat them by 20 or more points Pete gets his own little interview where he claims they got better as the season went on and they could beat ANY team in the country right now. So in other words the pollsters should forget about their invariable mid season loss to whoever and vote them #1. I realize that is his job but it pisses me off when a lot of the voters fall for it EVERY year. It used to be the same thing with Notre Dame. They jump 5 places in the polls because they just beat Villinova 40-10.
Drop to the bottom of the page and under "Display Modes" click on "Linear Mode" to bring their board into the 21st century.
Yeah I hated that the first two or three times I was there. Then I found that, once in a thread, you can go to the top right and click on "display modes." There, if you select "switch to linear mode," it becomes the same as normal discussion boards like this one. Why it's not the default there, I have no idea (my guess would be that the quality of USC fans and their products is well below the national average).
Haven't gone over there to read either thread, but all I have to say is 'What a bunch of jagoffs!'
Pac-1 better than the SEC?...:hihi::lol::grin::hihi::lol::grin::hihi::lol::grin: Of course they are. We don't have underwater basketweaving! I don't think the Pac is as good as the Big 12 or ACC either. They may be able to hang with the Big 10 but they're nowhere near the SEC...NOR have they been for the past 20 years!
I read one comment where they said something like "yeah but we had our qb out, what's LSU's excuse?". All I could think was who in the world needs to make an excuse for a win!?
:geaux: Most of that stuff was absolutely histerical!!!! They (USC fans) really do hate us more than I ever could have imagined and seem to be a pretty bitter bunch. It was funny how they really changed their tunes after the Huskies whupped 'em. Only one poster actually said UW really outplayed and BEAT them whereas before the game the Huskies were only "Pac 10 bottom dwellers". Hilarious.:hihi: :LSU231:
LSU is in good shape to win the SEC! I get the feeling they would romp through the Pac 10. Maybe Cal this year would give you guys a game, call it a toss up. Potentially one loss isn't exactly struggling in a conference. Laughable.
