I am on the same page as most of you I think RS should be at least on the field for every play. Put him in WR/RB what ever some one will have to respect him and cover him. That leaves others open. Just a thought.

Well I'm not saying he should start but I still think he should get a little time at QB if JJ doesn't play.
I think we should run a few plays and actually let him throw the ball as well as run for a change.
I have a play in mind, I loved the play where RP faked the run, pulled back and threw a long pass, I think it was a td!
I remember him motioning with his finger like no no!
Classic moment for me in LSU sports history!

You can say he's just a kid, he's trying his best or whatever you want to, but JL's performance tonight (along with mostly the entire team for that matter) was crappy. He was just plain horrible and there's no 2 ways about it. You all heard what I did. The first boo I wrote off to maybe the fans were booing the play calling. The next few were pretty obvious as to what the home crowd was displeased about. I cannot condone booing our guys, no matter how badly they play. If it's that bad, get up and leave but don't boo. However, after seeing our guys get beaten up and run over for the first half by LOUISIANA FREAKING TECH and the sluggish lackluster play beginning the second half, I can almost give them a pass.

It wasn't just JL, but we all know the QB gets the majority of the glory and the majority of the blame. The Defense got gashed by Tech's awesome running game in the first half. The tackling looked like a bad Pop Warner team. Penalties. At least the punting game was good.

If JL starts next week, I will not watch the game. Yes, I know it won't change anything or make a difference, but it's my own tiny little protest at continued game mismanagement. If JJ is still too hurt to play, RS with 0 college QB experience is still a better option. Near the end of the game it appeared that JL wasn't even trying 100%. That chaps my hide worse than just stinking it up. Sailing it way past a wide open receiver on at least 3 occasions when there wasn't much if any pressure. The stupid grounding call. That ever present deer in the headlights look. He has lost his mojo. Completely gone. The kid is in over his head. It's not his fault, but he is.

I'm angrier at the decisions that continue to put him in a position to fail than I am at him. He threw the ball (if you can call it that) 22 times and completed 7. If Deion Sanders and Rod Woodson were back there for Tech, I could accept that. Keiland Williams got only 15 carries. What did he do with them? Only got 7.7 yards per carry, that's all. Yet we continued to throw. I won't be able to watch the half hour Academy Sports and Outdoors commercial... err Les Miles Show this week. His silly smirk and comments about how proud he is of how hard the team battled against a tough La Tech team and how impressed he was with JL's progress will make me throw something at my TV. And fix your damn hat!!!

Yes I know that we have so many important players hurt. But I guess I just needed to vent even after a win because of how poor the team played tonight in a victory and how poor I feel the coaching decisions and effort level were.

OK, I think I got it out of my system now. God I hope so, my stomach was beginning to hurt. I'm going to bed.

Hell while we are at it I have always wondered why dont we let JJ rear back and chunk one long and send Holiday on a go route. No one could catch him; he did play WR in high school after all. Before the nay sayers say HS and College are diffrent i get that but i really think he can out run 98% of any of the defenders and the coverage becomes a relative non issue.

    Just me thinking out loud.

Whoa. Glad we didn't lose. This was too much to read after a win.:D

For the most part i have to agree. Lee looks lost and our D was on cruise control. We stunk it up no doubt about it. We are going to need a fire lit under our arses before ole piss.

Going to have to agree with that to.

I don't think the RS should be in on every play, possibly not even the majority. I have come to believe that RS probably excels at almost all parts of the game, except pass blocking. And really, even if he does, do you really want to see him attempt pass blocking a shooting LB (I don't)?

LSU's offensive playcalling and use of talent has been a miserable failure this year.

The biggest failure has been the option not to play Shepard for more than just a few plays a game when he has been a spark in almost every game he has played in and has the longest play from scrimmage in like the last three years.

Every week Miles says the same thing. He says it's a "piece" they need to get to more on offense. He says he'd "certainly" like to see him get more touches. He says all of this stuff every week and nothing really changes.

Florida and Alabama are developing players so much faster than us right now that it's crazy. Yeah, I know they are two of the best, but what the hell are we trying to be??? THE BEST. We've basically wasted a year for RR as well. At least he had some major catches in the Georgia win though, so it hasn't been a total waste.

I'm happy with the win and I feel sorry for J. Lee, but if for some reason Jefferson can't go next week, they have to play someone else. He didn't earn another start with his play tonight. That's how it goes sometimes.

there are a lot of comments about how bad Lee was, the playcalling, and offensive dis-organization. What do all 3 things have in common? Crowton.

Unfortunately, this season has just killed my impression of Crowton.
