Tennessee spends, because they can't grow them at home. Coach Saban subscribes to the notion that cherry picking season is a national event.

 

Yes if you have a suggestion of a better coach or a positive comment join in. Providing criticism in the true meaning of the word is welcome and helpful. Endless rants and kant are irritating not helpful.

KyleK - Yep I am positive we went 13-0 and it was a great season best in Tiger history to me. And I am positive we got our asses whipped in the BCSNC when we were throughly out-coached!! Does that make you happy, wait don't answer that because I don't care. If you don't like people bringing news to the board that is not to your things are beautiful outlook and you want to stick your head in the sand for fear of hearing something you don't want to hear "even if it is the truth" than don't read it!!! :cry:

bhelmLSU - thanks for the info that all makes sense As I stated in my post I thought it had to do with our propensity to sign mostly in-state talent therefore doesn't cost as much to visit and have visit. Forgot about the restrictions though very valid point. And as my Dad used to say "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" and they way we have played last year and this year "except for the BCSNC" it sure does not seem to be broken at all. I would just like to see a little more spending simply because we have the athletic budget to warrant it. It would be nice to try and pull more top rated talent from out of state so when we have disappoints like Collins and the other top rated recruits leaving our state we have 2 top rated prospects coming in from other states. Don't get me wrong love to see all the home grown talent but we could do a better job out of state also, doesn't mean we have to take them but it would be nice to have them want to play for us and we having to turn them away instead of having to beg them to come.
