I stand corrected... "In SPORTS, a figurehead is a person who holds an important title or office yet executes little actual power, most commonly limited by convention rather than law." To a TEE! But I substituted 'politics' with 'sports'.
And in response to my faux pas: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCpeeaIfF9c"]YouTube - Jimmy Swaggart: "I have sinned"[/ame]
and i still believe that. but there is a but "yeah, BUT..." to go with it. it doesnt matter at this point. les is the head coach and responsible for the product his assistants put out. if it isnt working, it is up to him as the ceo to demand changes. and those changes arent happening. i agree with nootch that "none of em are innocent". the entire offense is one big cluster at this point.
Well the choice is Les and the AD. Yes, I think Lee is the only true QB on the roster, yes, I think he could be one of the better QBs in the SEC in the right system, but no I don't think it's going to improve the overall direction of the offense right now with Lee, not with Crowton. There is no need to fire Crowton mid-season, OC's get demoted all the time mid-season, it's not ideal but it is a choice. I can't say LSU will like their choices but they do have them. I generally agree with you and no I don't foresee Les demoting Crowton because Les rides his ponies until they die. I am not for sure Les has ridden either JJ or Crowton to their death yet. Either way Lee has proven to me he is a stand up guy, what would be funny is they tell him to go in against Florida down 14 points and he tells Les to F-off. In general, I agree with you, the problem is the offense was destroyed last year. No easy fix that I can see, hopefully I am wrong. We can both wish LSU had better choices but that is life.
