I don't blame this on the OL, at least not more than 30%.

How bout you blame Florida's DL for at least 70%. They make everyone look bad, especially a sophomore QB.

Also blame the playcalling and JJ, but mostly give Florida credit for being incredible defensively.

UF has a great, stifling D. No doubt about that but LSU didnt at all help themselves. When the blocking was good and JJ threw well we moved the ball. So a lot of blame goes to the overall subpar performances there. Also the coaches didnt add any new wrinkles. They didnt try to add Shepard in the game at all. They just ran the same BS, predictable crap as before. When we did move the ball the boneheaded false starts hurt. I hate the constant looking to the sidelines. Its hurting far more than helping.

Jefferson drops way too far back in the pocket to step up in it when the pressure comes. There's no question he struggles a lot with this. However, I also expect the OL to sustain the pocket longer than 3-4 seconds on a 3-man rush on 3rd and forever. I expect a highly touted tackle like Ciron Black to not get repeatedly beat off the edge, game after game.

And the TE's got how many passes, what quarter were those screen passes, why didn't we run TH like they did Ryan Demps??? I'm not
sure there are answers to those questions??

BTW, the "he is a soph" argument is an excuse, these days if you
want to play for the marbles then they have to play when they come in the game. The "growing pains" were last year, this is an odd year and we
have 3 possible first rounders playing offense, no excuse other than
    execution, and coaching.:geaux:

    Whole offense needs retooling:

    1) QB is young and got psyched last night from the big game.
    2) O line not blocking well.
    3) Receivers not running pristine routes.
    4) Play calling leaves a lot to be desired probably because of 1-3.
    5) Running game not working probably because of 2 and 4.

That was a legitimate beef for why we had poor quarterback play 6 games into last season. But its been a season and a half now. I don't think we can use that excuse for why our quarterbacks aren't showing any improvement.

I think it is quite obvious that Chavis has the D playing amazing. With that being said....

we didn't lose the game because of floridas "amazing offense" no sir.

When the defense, as it did Saturday night, gives the offense countless oppertunities to take control of the game, you need to capatalize on it. Our offense is running in circles. Jefferson looks horrible, he should not be our QB regardless of being a sophmore. It's not just florida he looked bad agaisnt, it was every single game we played. He has 0 confidence and his accuracy is way off. He cripples Crowtons playcalling, because he thinks he can sit in the pocket for 10 seconds and try to outrun everybody. Remember when we had Mauck and Flynn? These guys knew how to play Quarterback as did Russell. They managed the game instead of losing it. Flashback to last week agaisnt Georgia. He was sacked 6 times, 3 straight times after halftime. He stands in the pocket for way too long. This isn't highschool anymore kid. We are playing SEC defenses full of futrue NFL players. Florida has a **** load of them. Spikes Cunningham, Dunlap Hunter Haedan ETC. Sure the oline has to take some blame, but I'm not going to blame them full credit for JJ's lack of pocket pressence. When you look at Quarterbacks like Bradford, McCoy you see that they are aware of the rush because of the mental clock in there head. I feel as if Lee deserves a shot. Obviously if we had a QB we would have won the game last night. The defense can't hold all night waiting on the O. It's that simple.

Look, im not defending JJ, but he is 19 and it is the coaches job to get JJ to grow from the High School lvl to NC CFB.
