    the unfortunate thing is that FIFA agrees with him, and still has Brazil #1 in their rankings

    it should be automatic that Italy gets to be #1 at least for a week

    After Italy won the World Cup and Brazil lost in the quarterfinals, Brazil still has the #1 ranking in the world. Whereas Italy is #2

    I guess he's comparing the "AP National Title" situation here? :confused:

    The World Cup is just one tournament. Granted it's the greatest and most important in the world, but Brazil overall is still better than Italy and thus why they are still #1....I think FIFA considers four years in the ranking...
