I can't believe I just wasted almost 5 hours of my life on that

I've tried to be patient with Ingram, but he's rapidly moving up the list of worst first-round decisions the team has ever made. Slow, no moves, no vision. He had a few games last year where he ran with some passion, but it took Chris Ivory getting some carries and threatening to take away his playing time to light a fire under his ass. Now, with Ivory traded (the postscript to the bad draft-day decision; management refusing to cut its losses and instead shipping off the guy who played his ass off for you), Ingram is back to his playing for the paycheck ways.

Perhaps if he'd put his heart into the Saints like he still puts into Bama, he'd double his production to 4 rushing yards per game.

    I agree.

It's the only severe weakness of the Saints right now.

This defense is shaping up to what we had in 2009.

So if the offense can get it in gear, it could be another Super Bowl victory.

I've been to 4 Saints games at Tampa when I used to live in South Florida and never had any issues.

Lucky you, this was my second game, and while this game I was treated a TON better then last time, it still had its moments.

Ingram isn't going to flourish in the current running back by committee system we have now. He's the guy the needs to get a lot of carries to get into the flow and find his groove. He was always this way. He was like that in colkege. So I don't fault him completely - he is what he is, but he should be able to pick up a tough 1 or 2 yards when it matters. The problem is that he's in almost the exact same situation we had with Reggie - his contract is way too big compared to his production to be tradeable. He's staying a while longer. And when we do trade him it'll be for very little. A 4th or 5th round pick would be generous.

Some of the problems yesterday were the O line, and some were all on Drew. He made some absolutely horrible throws all on his own not related to pressure. He's got to take that blame on himself. I'm sure he will and he'll try to improve.

That was such a tough game to watch because as much of a terrible shitshow that Tampa is, our Saints were finding ways to 1 up them in sucking at every turn. I never once thought going into the season that we'd find the team 2-0 based solely on the efforts of our banged up defense rather than our offense putting up 40 points a game. I thought we'd be winning 42-35 games to get to the playoffs this year.

Rob Ryan is garbage. I didn't get to see the whole game yesterday, only what I could on redzone, I'm glad it was Josh Freeman back there and not a capable QB. What I saw looked terrible.

Yep, I've said this a million times myself. The more carries he has, the more of a rhythm he get's in and the stronger he becomes. Still, the NFL has changed. Gone are the days where one back get's 25-30 carries a game. He's had over 3 years now to adjust his game.

I usually agree with you, my man, but not on this one. The D is definitely not the '85 Bears, but they don't have to be. By all accounts, they're head and shoulders better than last year. Even though the Ryans aren't my favorite people in the world, I'd much rather have Rob running the defense then Spagnolo.
