If the product were legal, the black market in the product would disappear and the gangsters along with them. Prohibition greatly expanded organized crime in the US but when liquor was legalized the whole market vanished along with the rum runners, speakeasies, moonshiners, and the violent hoods that controlled the trade.
Do you think that they deserve a free ride and immunity from the law if they get past the border? That is just improper and wrong.

Never said it was less of a crime and I said I have a problem wit the application of apprehension once they are here. There is a difference.
