Who again has Alabama played that makes them such a definitive number one. I only ask this because of the questions LSU is receiving about the #2 ranking. Michigan?-did not score more than 6 against ND, Arkansas?- Say no more. I remain unconvinced that UA is all that. They MAY be. I simply cannot tell. The point is...why do they deserve to stay #1? I suppose, the same reason we deserve to hang on to #2.

ULM took Auburn to overtime. Does that not say enough?

That aside, it's not so much about "who" but "how" Bama plays...with intensity, focus and intimidation. We got knocked back on our heels last night and lost our composure. We're young so I'll mark it down as a learning experience but given the fact that our last SEC game, we pretty much did the same, I do say that with concern.

Agreed. But, I don't think ULM taking Auburn to overtime has any bearing. But the focus and intensity argument is surely the truth.

Alabama can only play the schedule they are given. And all they can do is show up and dominate, which is all they have done. Alabama would be a 2 touchdown favorite in Baton Rouge if the game were next week. And I'd bet the house for them to cover

lsu for life dont bet the house on bama just yet. If you do i hope you have family you can stay with.

I am as upset as everyone with some of the mistakes we made and it is clear mett is not there yet. But with experience comes maturity. Alabama is a good team but they are not dominant. What team did you see they have played makes you think they beat someone good. They beat an ark team without wilson that rutgers just handled.

And no matter what holtz the old slurrbox says ND is improved but they are a joke. Michigan is bad and the fact bama played them and it counts as a big victory is also a joke.

My gosh i think washing ton beats the crap out of Michigan if they play.

It is pretty clear our defense is carrying our offense and in the sec defense wins tough games.

My concern is we havnt played a wide open attack yet with talent. South carolina scares the crap out of me. More than bama.

We can beat bama because as much i as saban has an experienced qb him and miles play similar games. They play not to beat themselves. We almost did against auburn with the penalties and turnovers.

The one thing the bama schools have going for them we dont is they have the refs in their back pocket and always have.

I am concerned about our left tackle situation and my need to give a younger guy with quicker legs a chance. Start that against townsen if your smart.

Open up 8 to 15 yard routes on offense with crossing and deep curls.

Pound up the middle and use plays to set up others. Throw some counters and what i call opposites from our high school plan. a reverse once in awhile set up by a few sweeps. not on its own.

and when you have a chance to put a team away do it. If we score on that last drive its 19 or 20 tho 10. Looks much better.

Arkansas may be a train wreck but the thing is, regardless who Alabama plays, they dominate from start to finish. Watch them play, they have what we don't. Discipline, and focus. They don't get called for stupid penalties, they don't implode, and they don't go consecutive quarters without converting 3rd downs.

I want to kill myself after typing that. It fucking pains me to the core to admit all of that.

Alabama is a machine that just keeps chugging along. Until someone can match-up to them (we are the only team in the country) and throw a couple curveballs at them, they will stay unbeaten. Saban struggles to make in-game adjustments, so we need to perfect what we are good at and mix it up a little.

But it's why I can respect you in the morning. This is the genius of Saban. He demands perfection, because greatness is in the details. Enough said.
