    True or false: If the roles were completely reversed, we would claim a National title in 2003.

    anyone answering false is kidding themselves

    C'mon guys and gals, we all know that if LSU were the AP #1 that year we would have claimed it, partied and bought the T-shirt.

    Maybe, but we would have been cheesy bastards for doing it. But that didn't happen and the cheesy bastards are from USC.

    It wouldn't happen because The AP media sportswriters get to see, visit, and hear an awful lot from a Hollywood team in a metropolis like Los Angeles. How much do they get to see games and talk to players and coaches in places like Norman, Oklahoma, Auburn, Alabama and Baton Rouge, Louisiana?

    On the field, USC has problems like the rest of us, but to the media, they are gorgeous superstar supermen. Never mind that they simply didn't qualify for the BCS game by the rules everybody agreed on. The Annointed Ones deserve to be National Champions anyway, because they're so damn good lookin'. :rolleye33:

    Yes

    Would I say that the system is BS and LSU was the best team in the country that year?
    Yes

    Would I contend that media bias was the only reason USC was ranked ahead of us?
    Yes

    Would I claim that LSU won a championship that they didn't even play for?
    No

    nope i wouldnt have because i know the rules beforehand. if the AP claimed us NC this year i would not care nor 2003. not fooling anyone i simply see them as irrelevant.

    There are a lot of teams with multiple championships... but at some point someone needs to make a decision...

    Sounds great unless you're the #5 team, from the SEC, with 2 losses just like #3 and #4 from the Big Twelve and PAC-10...

    Short of a 16 team tournament, nothing will make fanatics happy.
