Me and my daughter and grandbaby are gonna be in Houston next week visiting my sister.

It sure is gonna be fun for me, wearing my LSU shirts and stuff, my sister hates Rice, I think we are gonna be galavanting every day that we are there, and I am gonna wear my LSU shirts every day that we are there too.

I just betcha I am gonna make all kinds of new friends.

You have to go shopping in Rice Village. Great restaurants, shopping, etc., and it's right next to....you guessed it - Rice University. You may get a few looks because of their recent loss, but there are a huge amount of LSU fans here too. I have only been given the bird one in Rice Village! Maybe it has something to do with my plates? If you want any suggestions on restaurants while you are here, drop me a line.:thumb:

You can always keep with the old chant I remember from the old football games against Rice if you need a few extra friends over there.

    "What comes out of a Chinaman's a$$? RICE...RICE...RICE"

Dude, I've been trying to come up with an LSU plate for my vehicle, but everything I think of has already been taken. How did you come away with LSU GUY?

I second that motion about Houston being full of LSU fans. And, actually, over the past ten years in Dallas, I see more and more LSU folks. I cannot drive to and from work anymore without seeing at least one additional LSU vehicle.

Not to mention that Rice is pretty irrelevant in the Houston area. You have a better chance of finding LSU fans:geaux:

Just lucky I guess. The Texas DMV has a website that allows you to put plates in to see if they are taken. A lot easier than actually going to the DMV like you have to in some states. Maybe they are all doing it like that now. I can send you a link if you like.

I grew up in Houston and the 2 Universities in that town are irrelevant. You will find 4-5x1 Lsu Fans in Houston compared to Rice and UH fans.

Go to 100% Taquitos or Goode Co BBQ.
