I am close to ending my love affair with LSU football

For perspective, there are 16 different posters in this thread and only 3 of them are consistently anti Miles (not counting a newbie): Tiger Backer 70, Kal el, and Tiger Tap.

Ignore those 3 and the whole thing goes away.

 

For the record, I am not anti Miles. I'm pro Les Miles being held responsible for the offensive shambles that is LSU football for the past few seasons. Everyone seems to be almost unanimously anti Crowton. But Miles hired him and Miles can't/won't get him to improve the offense or show him the door. So if he's not ultimately responsible for the embarrassingly bad offense, who is? And I'm perfectly fine with being ignored if you find my posts disagreeable.

I've got 4 posts in this thread of 96 posts. None of them bash Miles. It was directed to the topic at hand which is the OP's decision to post to tell us that those with differing opinions than his sunny disposition impinge upon his enjoyment of LSU football so much that he has decided to give up on the team because criticism of the coach hurt him so much. Which even he himself realized was silly and reversed.

 

Disregard his posts... he's like the drunken drama queen at the all you can drink frat party. All's good until the attention he desires runs out, then he posts his melodramatic exit threads, crying and bickering... only to stick around to see how well his thread was recieved and then does it all over again the following week. It won't change... thinking maybe his name should be changed to TigerChick. What's sad is he's a grown man who has less control of his emotional tempertantrums than my 7 year old son.

 

I will say more after we beat Bama and listen to how lucky we are as a team.

It's just odd for a stupid sunshine pumper like me that Les is so lucky that he has the best winning record in the history of LSU football going into the end of his 6th season. I know he has issues and he is not Nick Saban perfect in all his ways. He seems to be a little odd at the end of games and yet in his way we seem to be a force at the end of the game when the game is on the line. We lost the Ole Miss game and the Tenn game got a little crazy but look into both of those games at what happened to get the team to the point of winning the games. Tenn did give us the win but it took LSU doing the right things to get to the point of turning great into stupid.

Even in the Auburn game LSU did what was needed with Auburn having all things working and yet at home Auburn had all they could handle with LSU and winning the game in the 4th quarter.

We beat Bama on Sat and fire will come back to Baton Rouge in a small way but nothing like years ago. Baton Rouge is waiting for the shoe to drop on Sat to run the smack on Les. They are excited about the idea of Les rolling out West or up North.

Baton Rouge is not happy with the winning % and the Les/Nick ring in 2007. They are ready for the new guy that will be a real football coach and ??? win

Win the right way - win the Nick Saban way ! The glory of short people will reign again in Baton Rouge.

I would love to see Les win out and win the Sugar Bowl and tell Baton Rouge -

Take this job and shove it

Those of you that have been soooo condescending to me I assure you that you have stabbed my heart with shame. I know it is amazing that I could have my own point of view that is based on LSU football big picture and not based on what the popular view of Les is at the moment.

Things I like about Les

I love any Les interview
I love how Les wears his hat
I love how Les shows his love for his team and his boys
I love how Les could care less about what anyone on the planet thinks that he should do
I love how clean the program is
I love how the guys stand behind coach
I love how Les is a family guy in the middle of the crazy football world and allows his staff to do the same

I think at the end of the year Gary Crowton will move on and with a new OC and new QB's on the team certain things that all of us hate will change. If coach moves on I will understand and I will grow to enjoy things about my new LSU head coach.

It's nothing personal bro, it's an internet message board. I just call them how I see them, and sometimes even happen to agree with you on some things. But your wishy washy up and down emotional roller coaster threads sometimes reminds me of an entire sorority house at "that" time of the month. Don't get your feelings hurt, throw the jabs back, it's all in fun and nothing personal... after all that's what these boards are for. :geaux: :thumb:

You're not on my sh!tlist and I'm not talking about this thread only. The three I mentioned are consistently anti Miles. It's my own observation but it's accurate.

Anyway, I was talking to Cliff when I said to ignore you 3 dudes and his problem will go away.

I am for all Tiger fans that love LSU football on Sat night and not a 2:30 pm! I want Bama in the dark!!! I wish I was on the West side so I could zoom in on Nick when he looks over at Les and says - How is it possible that stupid clown is killing us!!!!
