No, but they would put it in the holster and yank it out at the 1st sign of adversity next year.

We are ranked in the top 10 and when we beat Auburn and Tulane we will be ranked higher. We go to Bama to fight the fight and pull out a win how does this sit with what you are saying.

You see my friend you are one of the many that have given up on the team. You don't have faith in the staff and I am sure you look at Satan over in bama land and wish Oh if Lord Satan was still our coach!!!!!

Personally I'm taking a wait & see on our offense in the Auburn game. If I see the same ineptness, stupid option, and vanilla play calling after 2 weeks of preparation then in my opinion these kids aren't being coached.
If in fact we do beat Auburn, Tulane, & especially Bama then it's going to require that something positive DID happen for the offense so no problem. If it's the same old offense then at least the Bama game is definitely in doubt. As far as liking Saban.........I can't stand him as a person but I will give credit where credit is due. He has had the Gumps playing at a darn high level this year and last. I think we are going to have to get a lot of our O problems corrected by the time we meet them or get damn lucky with turnovers. They actually have a problem scoring TD's in the red zone this year. They have been kicking tons of FG's.

Key word there is "pattern". When someone does something wrong, it's a mistake; when they continue to do it, it's a pattern. So far this year, only the defense has seemingly gotten better; the offense seems to take steps back.

Anyone's guess as to why this is the case is as good as mine. I'm not in the locker room, on the practice field or on the field during the game. All I know is what I see, and what I've seen so far is an offense that has not gotten better as the season has progressed. JJ's youth aside, and that's a big "aside", I know, underachieving seems to be the best way to describe what I have seen, from the OL and DL (LBs and DBs have played extremely well).

While I don't subscribe to the "win by 50" theory of LSU football, I do think it's fair to be critical of Miles and his staff through the mid-way point of the season. I also do not subscribe to the "sky is falling" mentality, either; LSU still has time to correct themselves and become more proficient and efficient on both sides of the ball. Being 5-1 and ranked in the top-10 is still an accomplishment; my guess is UGA, Ole Miss, Ohio State and a bunch of others would willingly trade positions if given the chance. But being critical of a 5-1 team, especially the way this team has played, is not sacreligious. It's called passion, which is what many an LSU fan suffers from. It's the reason we continued to the "LSU Saturday Night" tradition through 8 out of 10 losing seasons in the 90s; it's the reason why we are critical of an underachieving team now. And it's illustrative of how LSU is bigger than the current or past caretaker of the LSU football team.

I think all agree LSU has the potential to play a lot better than what we've seen. The question is why haven't they? I don't have a problem with LSU winning or losing a close game if they've left it all out on the field; I do have a problem winning against an inferior team or losing if the manner in which they win or lose is piss poor.

My 2 cents, even though I know they're worth about as much as a hair on a fat man's a$$.

After re-reading some of my post I guess I can get carried away with myself!!!

The reason we all post and follow LSU is that it's in our blood!!!!

I can't help but think something wonderful is about to happen. I think coach held the rudder through the Gator game and he has to see what the rest of the world sees.

We ALL want to see movement on O and have the O going like the D is going. We all want to see a complete game and see a play work for more than 6 yards.

Right now the 33 yard run against the Dogs is our big play of the year!!!

    love me some LSU Tigers!!!:tigereye:

I think most of you wrote positive things about the coach and the team on this thread. That is why this in now my site!!!!

You show more about your Faith during the dark times than you do during the easy winning moments! What a great win Sat night and I am so happy for coach but I am really happy for JJ!!! JJ made some really good throws Sat night and he took over the team. It's his team now and he is the leader!
