How so? I think he's correct. We had a late loss to Arky and had to depend on other teams to go down compared to us not controlling our own destiny. Us winning out was not enough- by definition, that's "Backing in".

LSU is, in fact, one of the top 5 programs of the decade. Bama isn't close.

I get the impression from many posters here that they live their lives hoping for the worst. Always trying to point out the negatives about everything and going to absurd lengths at most times to try to prove themselves "right". How many teams with higher ranked offenses have worse record than LSU does right now? How many teams will end the season with a losing record and have a higher ranked offense than LSU? If LSU were to win out and win the NC with the 109th ranked offense would you give the crystal trophy back? How many teams in the past won NCs with average or below average offenses? OU had the #1 offense and #1 total defense(prior to playing LSU) in 03. What did that get them? I am not against being critical of coaches decisions. But there is a difference being critical of performance and the exagerated mindless negative bashing that goes on here. I bet there are Gator fans calling for Meyers head because of the subpar performance of their offense the last two games. This type of lunacy I'm sure is not limited to this forum or "fan" base. I try to enjoy the short time that we have to for college football. Not one of you throw in the towel, wave the white flag, No Mas, nay sayers can predict when their next sneeze will happen. But will claim with certainty how the season will play out. Enjoy the ride. I do. I'm glad I haven't already determined that LSU will finish 6-6 like some of you. That means I have a reason to watch the games and support my team. Get excited, elated or disappointed each game without having made up my mind to be a sour puss and dread each game. Calling for the replacement of CLM right now is pure nonsense. Speculating about it makes as much sense as us continuing to run the option with JJ over and over again. Look at Nebraska, they fired Frank Solich after a 9-3 season and look what that did to their once proud program. Everyone wanted to get rid of Cholly Mac because he couldn't beat the Bear. Hec no one was beating the Bear. Didn't we learn from that what instability can cause. I hope LSU scores at least one more point than our opponents each game. I would rather beat my opponent on the score board , they can outgain me by 100 yds if that will make their trip home after defeat feel any better. :geauxtige!twocrystals!:helmet::tigereye::milesmic::helmet:

With NCs come drastically raised--and many would argue, unrealistic--expectations of a program. Our fans want to see results on the field commensurate with the talent we put out there in gold helmets and white unis every year, and with the $4M HC salary they help pay for. In the minds of a lot of fans, that means 50-pt blowouts of everyone we play. For reasons covered here in detail, this team isn't doing that. I think there is legitimate criticism regarding the quality of coaching to this point. Some people take it to the extreme conclusion that Miles should be kicked to the curb. People like me want to see how the rest of the season pans out. Florida is not the end of the world. We are #9 in the BCS and have a legit shot at the SECCG if the right adjustments are made. That's a pretty good place to be.

The "50-pt blowout" people will never be satisfied for the way LSU under Miles wins games. But one thing you can't take away from those teams is that, more often than not, they find a way to win. For some people here that's not good enough. As for me, when Miles' teams are no longer able to do that, then we can talk about a change at the helm.

Hey at least it is a legitimate NC unlike Bama's years of Cheat-pionships, right?:thumb:

If you look at the Bama and Gator games from the weekend they look much like Tiger wins!!!

Guys we get just a little O going and we are in a great place. I think we will see lots of power running Sat night and play action passing.

It will come down to the Bama game and with this bunch you know what that means. I think if this team pulls together it might shut up the anti-Miles bunch for a while and next year the Tigers are going to make a serious run.

But right now I am enjoying the fact that I am going to get to watch my Tigers beat down Auburn 2 years in a row. That has not happened very often!

With all fans of great teams you have extreme perspectives. For some the sky is falling for others the Tigers can do no wrong. The reality lies in the middle with the informed constructive criticism.

The problem is the extremes will attack the hell out of you for being critical.

I'd love to see LSU win by 100 every game, but that is ridiculous, I just wouldnt mind seeing them put someone away a little earlier in the game. My heart cant take much more of this.

I agree sabanfan, what did we expect this year . I thought 9-3 also. We have very young qb's and it's very hard to win in the sec with them. We should be very happy to this point of the season.
