As for your theory about having to develop a passing game to be able to run, Florida disproved that yesterday by beating us 14-0 in the 2nd half without evening trying to develop a passing game...
Of the 37 plays Florida ran in the second half, 33 were runs. Only two of Driskel's four passes were directed past the line of scrimmage.

Florida didn't exactly light it up offensively. As bad as we struggled, we were one score from tying it up.
