Nah, we lost a game. That's nothing to have to apologize for. On any given Saturday (or any other day of the week) any tann can win or lose, especially in a conference like LSU is in. Especially when you are coaching 18-23 year olds who have so much going on in their lives including school.

While I am disappointed when we lose I do have the ability to take a step back and look at the big picture and that look tells me our program is in good hands.
And I also believe that the future is very bright as do many others, some of you believe that isn't so and that is ok as that is their opinion. Eight years ago and then 5 years ago we had these same disagreements and I feel like my optimism was spot on. We'll see what the future holds once again.

Les Miles should apologize for the chicken bowl loss to Clemson last year. That was embarrassing, especially when we had the game won and the $3 mil dollar a year Miles didn't know how to put it away. He should also apologize for the Alabama loss last year. His players outplayed Alabama the whole game and when it came time for the Head Coach to come through at the end of the game he had nothing. He should also apologize for the embarrassing loss to Alabama in the second chance Bowl in Jan 2012. From what I've read he asked his players council if he should have a curfew. Of course they said no, so he didn't impose a curfew and his favorite quarterback closed down Harrah's on the morning of the game and no telling what some of the others did. That aside, for his $3 mil. salary and years of coaching experience it would seem like he could have come up with some sort of effective offensive game plan. Guess not. The LSU staff is one of the highest paid in the country. His OL coach makes $530, 000 a year and can't protect his quarterback. His DC makes over a million and can't stop an opponent from running up the middle. I personally think he should apologize for accepting a bonus for playing in the Outback Bowl. The bar has been lowered, He's being out recruited, even in his home state so far and I see a lot of secondary bowls in LSUs future.

I expect a lot of flak from this, and even some name calling from two or three of you making fun of my name (which is my real last name by the way), but I think some of you will agree with me.

Ha! I just read that and actually I'm not that negative. I'm looking forward to the onion bowl although I think we will lose. It will be interesting to see how our new quarterback does.

Actually, I don't disagree with a lot of of what you are saying. You are not being ridiculous in the issues you are pointing out. These are certainly moments that we underperformed/underachieved. I guess you could say he should apologize. I certainly think after the second chance bowl, he should have released a statement, or been more forthright somehow. Your comments are different from those who lack balance and just bash him without recognizing a lot of positives. Certainly there are areas of improvement, and a lot of us who are labeled as "sunshine pumpers", or "apologists", are critical, too, and will point out those areas of improvement, but not to the point that we are ready to throw out the cow.

Hypothetical: if we were to get into a bidding war with Texas, how high should we go for Miles services. It would be hard for me to go much higher than what he's making now.
