Heard the samething out of ATL. No mention what so ever on the news that there was even a storm. Worse storm to hit Baton Rouge since Betsy and nothing, I guess a levee has to break in a poor area and cause a bunch of people to be stranded in a city that they were told to get out of before the media takes notice!
Finally got power at my in-laws. Probably 10-21 days before I will get it back on at my house they say, but there are power trucks all around it so I'm hoping for sooner. Storm was a motha. My roof has some damage nad my brick wall was seperated from my house by about 3 or 4 inches. My neighbors metal roof is in my front yard and he lives about 1000 ft away from my property. I'll be able to check in and out from here, but I've been working 16 and 17 hour days since the storm. Good to see the internet again, this is the first time I've been able to log on since about 10:30 Monday morning.
<--- Has power now. <--- Has no cable or internet, and by the looks of the cable up and down the street, it will be a while. <--- Has no Directv, dish all beat up. <--- Has a good book (but it doesn't replace football).
A week from Tuesday. Needless to say, they have a lot of requests for this area right now. I did hook up a good antenna and can pull in local channels with their HD signals. Saw the Saints in high def on Sun. Won't see any other football unless it's on regular TV though.
